I really enjoyed being close to the castle and had the opportunity to walk in the grounds after dark. The lounge had an open fire , which was lovely. All of the staff were friendly and clearly take a pride in their work. Standards of cleanliness were excellent.
As a solo traveller, I would highly recommend the Astor Suite. Lovely room with a bath.
The local pub was being refurbished which meant I had to look at other options for dinner as no evening meals are served on site. Breakfast made up for it though with lots of choices available.
The castle and grounds are stunning and staff are very informative.( The neon sign on the doughnut van, parked outside slightly spoiled the overall mood but I’m just being picky! )
I will definitely be returning soon!

The castle and grounds are simply so beautiful.
The castle and grounds are simply so beautiful. The suite I booked was even better than the photos on the site and the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I came away very relaxed and can't wait to return.

Two favourites to visit once you have taken in the Castle and grounds, is Chartwell (once the home of Winston Churchill) and Penshurst Palace, a short drive from your venue.

Edenbridge, close to Heaver Castle, and our visit to the castle and gardens was excellent. all very well organized. In the castle you receive a headphone set in order to follow the history and the rooms.. the whole setting is spectacular. I have visited many castles in my life, but this is one of the best.

It is beautiful place to stay and immerse yourself in history. The rooms are nicely decorated in line with the historical period the property represents. They are very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The visit to the castle gardens after the official opening times brings you a sense of being in an enchanted place. My family and I had a very memorable stay!

After a visit to Hever Castle, we booked in with the Greyhound due to its proximity. What a fantastic find and gem of a place to stay. By their own admission, this venue is not a pub, but it is an exceptional combined restaurant and hotel that would challenge the best that I have been to.
Self-check-in was explained with a courtesy call from the host before arrival and no questions raised caused an issue.
Both dinner and breakfast were stupendous and secretly Michelin-starred!
In the words of Arnie, we will be back!
The restaurant in the hotel was exceptional fine dining; with a good choice of food to choose from.
My husband is fussy; & he said it was the best Pork Belly he had ever tasted.
Caroline was a great hostess who made sure everyone was okay; & you had what you needed for your stay.
Our room was lovely & clean, with a balcony looking over the garden of the hotel.
Historic and luxurious Hotel at Hever Castle. Stayed in a feature twin room in the Astor Wing which had a fantastic bathroom. Breakfast was superb, with a continental buffet and a cooked option from the kitchen. Castle and grounds beautiful at Christmas. Staff all very friendly and helpful.
