This is a clean, warm and comfortable apartment at a very reasonable price. There are several new fittings which work very well - it is well carpeted, there is an excellent double shower, a good washing machine, etc. The area was safe and friendly, and parking was easy.

Number 10 Hotel, hotel in Glasgow

Beautifully positioned in a peaceful tree-lined drive on the south side of Glasgow, overlooking the historic Queen’s Park, this luxury hotel is 3 miles from the city centre.

Rooms were very spacious and beds very large. Bathroom was a lot larger than expected. Location between two stations and lots of food and drink within a 5 minute walk. On street parking we had no issues with. Staff were very friendly.

We only go away now and then for a few nights and this was ideal as we came from Edinburgh so not a big journey. Some reviews said the hotel was " dated " but I thought it was absolutely lovely . I dont need a big fancy modern cold place..this was absolutely ideal and great... We ate out in Punjabi Tadka in the evening and it was great and very good value. We drove into Glasgow and went to the Riverside Museum and walked over the new Govan Footbridge..we also had lunch in " VEGAN" on Dumbarton Rd . I am not Vegan but my wife is vegetarian and i found it to be very nice indeed and cheap.

Welcoming hotel, efficient and pleasant staff, nice decor, comfortable room, good restaurant. Good value overall and a nice experience. A bit hard to find correct entrance to hotel car park depending on direction of arrival.

I'm sorry but East Kilbride is an Industrial Nightmare.

I'm sorry but East Kilbride is an Industrial Nightmare. The worst concrete , soulless place I have been to for a long time. The "HUB" is a disaster, the most horrible shopping precinct ever designed. "The Village was OK but just" The people seem to have the world on their shoulders. Dreary and drab.

A good nights sleep, isn't that why you stay in a hotel?

A good nights sleep, isn't that why you stay in a hotel? Matress completely unacceptable. Wrong room on arrival offered a twin to push together ( on our anniversary) couldn't believe what we were hearing. It then took the best part of 3 hours to find us a room which made us miss our reservation for the restaurant we had booked in advance. All being said the staff were very nice, just not educated enough on hospitality. Speaking from experience as a general manager at a high end hotel. I will most certainly not be recommending anyone else to use holiday inn east kilbride! It spoiled our whole stay if I'm to be brutally honest, especially the mattress. As for breakfast 🙄 first morning we were told to quickly grab what we wanted as they were clearing it away, but that was just before 9am when it should be served until 9.30am

The EK covered shopping area is very run down and has lots of empty shop units again increasing the feeling of neglect. only a few places left to get a hot meal so choice very limited. I ate 5 times at the Wetherspoons pub so by the 4th night my choices were becoming limited.

The carpark on level 3 for the hotel was closed, we had no prior warning of this. We parked on level 2 and phoned reception for advice, Cara was very sweet as she told us to walk up the fire escape stairs, and up the shopping centre stairs with our bags and case, which was a long way and the fire escape was disgusting, a perfect place for those with malintent to lurk, I have COPD so not ideal but we did it; then we had to walk the entirety of the level 3 carpark in pouring rain with our luggage (we were doing a tour of Scotland and several bags), had to then wait in a foyer pushing dirty buttons before the door opened (btw, once we'd checked in and had a key card there wasn't an option to use the card to operate those foyer doors). Once we got in we got the lift to the 12th floor, Cara was nice and we bought coffees, we had to go back to the lifts for floor 8, our room was at the end of that floor. We were going to a family party that night and getting back to the hotel was awful, we again had to walk up the fire escape,, not easy with my condition , it was dark, scary, dirty and I was so unsettled, the wait in the foyer was a nightmare waiting to get in, some strange and desperate people about late at night. My advice would be, have an entrance on the ground floor incase of carpark issues and people with medical conditions having problems, can you imagine how a wheelchair user would fare Secondly, set your access doors and key cards so people can get through the foyer if they are using the carpark entrance.

This is a well located traditionally styled hotel in a very attractive setting. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable, though they are NOT air conditioned, if that matters to you. It was not a problem at the time of year that I visited, but it could be in a warm summer. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. The hotel has a lively bar that serves a good range of products. I did not eat at the hotel, so cannot comment on the food offer. There is plenty of parking.

Really good place to stay in you are stopping in East Kilbride. Located just outside a large shopping center with everything you could need. Taxi's come right up to the door in the parking area which is great (they can't park on the road). We had a wheelchair access room as my husband was on crutches. Friendly and helpful staff. We did not eat at the hotel.

Very modern hotel rooms which were really comfortable and clean, breakfast was excellent. Great service and staff were very helpful and friendly. Public transport only across the road from the hotel to get into Glasgow city centre. Ideal! Saved a lot of money in travelling. Great value for money staying here 😀
