The uniqueness of a Manor House and the diversity of uses within. A Birthday tea was underway when we arrived. Our host allowed us to meet the ladies as we made our way through the beautiful setting in the Drawing room.

It’s was clean, bright and comfortably accommodated my husband and I and our 3 teens. The 2 bathrooms were a life saver! And we had dirty laundry that we easily washed and dried there. The hosts were exceptionally nice and even drove my husband to a nearby grocery to pick up breakfast yummies for our boys. Would absolutely recommend!

My stay was in Moy, just south of Dungannon, so any comments I make are about the village. The village has nice pubs, interesting antique shops and the centre has a pleasing Georgian ambience, without being over-gentrified.

We never went into the town centre, my partner and I were more than happy to stay at parkwood relaxing. It's not very often we get to spend quality time together without our kiddies. We did try and book a table at viscounts resturante but unfortunately it was fully booked, so recommend to book in advance. Being fully booked is very reassuring . We did look at different park lands to go and enjoy a nature walk but never actually went, enjoyed relaxing at parkwood to much. If you like fishing there's also a fishery that you can hire out boats for the day. We tried the pg chips chip shop and li's Chinese that was just up the road, both were lovely.

Dungannon is not exactly a tourist Mecca.

Dungannon is not exactly a tourist Mecca. There's not a lot to see or do there, although there were a few interesting sights. We found that there are a lot of folks from East Timor. Apparently, with East Timor having been a Portuguese settlement, a lot of people emigrated from there to Portugal to get their EU resident status, and then moved to places like Dungannon (within the EU) where, unfortunately, many of them are living off of social services rather than getting jobs and contributing to the economy. That, in turn, creates a very visible "us and them" mentality throughout the community. We were pleasant with everyone we met, but found that darker skinned people treated us cooly and sometimes with suspicion due to the social segregation that seems to be present.

Apartment very modern, clean and spacious for a few nights away. The bar downstairs had amazing atmosphere and even had a live singer which topped the night off! Apartment was only 2.5 mile away from the center of Dungannon which had more bars to enjoy! I would highly recommend the Lower House for anyone to stay! I am looking forward to returning again!
