Inveravon Holiday Home, hotel in Dufftown

Boasting a hot tub, Inveravon Holiday Home is set in Dufftown. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi.

I was impressed with how well equipped the house was - even sky tv! Furthermore, there was loads of cutlery, crockery etc - it is so annoying when you stay in a holiday home and there is the bare minimum resulting in having to handwash the cups every time you had a cup of tea. Even the small minutae such as big bags, washing up liquid etc - they were all there for our use. Inveravon was tremendous in that respect. The use of the hot tub was an absolute thrill and highlight of the holiday. I would also like to add that the hosts were very accommodating - whilst we were supposed to leave by 10am, they contacted us to say that this was not a problem and to just leave when we were ready. All these little things made such a big and positive difference.

Abbeyfield B&B, hotel in Dufftown

Situated in Dufftown, in a historic building, 22 km from Huntly Castle, Abbeyfield B&B is a guest house with a garden and shared lounge.

Abbeyfield B&B exceeded all expectations for our cycling groups! We booked two separate groups to stay here during their tours, and both came back raving about their experience. Many of them mentioned that Abbeyfield was the highlight of their entire journey. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and perfectly suited for travelers. What really set this B&B apart was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the host, Kira. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt at home. We highly recommend Abbeyfield B&B for anyone looking for a cozy, friendly, and memorable stay!

Mortlach Cottage, hotel in Dufftown

Offering quiet street views, Mortlach Cottage is an accommodation located in Dufftown, 34 km from Leith Hall Garden & Estate and 37 km from Kildrummy Castle.

Clean & comfortable. All the facilities worked as expected. Comfortable bed. Excellent value for what I paid. It’s not a modern cottage, more like traditional Scottish. I was travelling on business, but the cottage is a short walk to the world famous Glendiddich distillery & Balvenie castle.

Dufftown was a pleasant surprise with 2 good restaurants and a coffee cafe. Residents are very friendly and full of tips for sightseeing. The town is a good central location for exploring the Spey valley.

Very cosy little town with shops for our need. Beautiful mountain paths / trails to walk on. Fantastic nature, and if you are into whisky, there are many destilleries in the area to visit…. Fabtastic place.

There is only 1 Bar in Dufftown and it’s basic but has a dart board but that’s your lot.now as others lost business to Covid. There’s an Indian which is average and take away which is basic. Advise to book places to eat in Aberlour to avoid disappointment. Whisky tours only accept online bookings.

    The people were friendly.

The people were friendly. Unfortunately the tourist information office had been shut down. There were plenty of distilleries nearby if you had a car. There were good walking tracts if you had a medium level of fitness. There is only one pub as far as I know but I would recommend the restaurant as the food which was excellent.

Charming little town in the heart of whisky country!

Charming little town in the heart of whisky country! Glenfiddich Distillery with its excellent visitor facilities situated in the town and several other distilleries open to view in the locality. An interesting ruin, Balvenie Castle, to explore on the outskirts of the town. Dufftown also boasts its own heritage railway which is definitely worth a visit. Beautiful walks and lovely scenery around the town.

Only a few restaurants in and around town make sure you reserve ahead. If you plan on going to the distillery's or the Speyside cooperage also make sure you book ahead. Dufftown golf course is public and is nearby and will rent you decent clubs. Great course. ACE taxis if you had too much good Whisky.
