Winchmore Hotel, hotel in Deganwy

The family-run Winchmore Hotel is in the centre of Llandudno Bay, looking out over the headlands of the Great Orme and the Little Orme.

I didn't have breakfast, so no comment. The room was clean and bright and had all the normal things. Location on the front was very convenient for me. The free parking was a bonus, other hotels charge for parking spaces. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Very homely feeling, I would recommend the cottage, it was very clean with plenty of room for 6 adults but be aware that the upstairs toilet has a few steps down to it from the bedroom landing, One of the reasons for booking the property was because I had elderly relatives with me and wanted upstairs and downstairs toilets. They managed but it could potentially have been an issue. Having said that I would certainly book to stay there again.

There are some great walks along the coastal paths in both directions from Deganwy to Conwy and the Great Orme. Llandudno is within easy reach for a day out where there are excellent shops. There are several options for eating out and takeaways in Deganwy. Paysanne Bistro is our favourite - booking recommended. We also liked Johnny Dough’s wood fired pizza in both Conwy and Llandudno. The Beach Cafe on the West shore is very good too.
