Al and Phyl were excellent hosts. Very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble including drying our clothes when we got caught in a downpour. The location was perfect for us as we had a choice of walking into Deal town centre or catching the bus from the nearby bus stop. Deal has lots to offer, Walmer Castle and gardens was a treat and lovely walks along the coast. Local pub friendly with a good choice of pub grub.

Lots of nice local shops and many choices of resturants would recommend 81 Beach Street. Nice to stroll along the front and its all very close to the shops. Good bus services which we used to visit Sandwich. Walmer castle and gardens well worth a visit.

Great beach access and loads of good, reasonably priced restaurants. We especially enjoyed The Court Yard, 81 Beach St, Hog and Bean and Al's Bakery. Easy to walk, no car needed. Deal Castle was interesting and a great starting point for walking and biking adventures. There are also easy day trips to Sandwich, Folkestone, Dover and Canterbury available from here.

Deal has many wonderful houses and little side streets that are full of charm. There are lots of nice eateries and coffee shops to choose from, we particularly liked Margheritas a charming Italian, the pizza was lovely. Its a popular place, so if you want to try it we suggest booking. Deal is a quiet laid back place so if you like the bright lights and amusements, then Deal isn't for you but it is a lovely place and we would recommend it as a place for a long weekend.

The town was quite busy as it was holiday season, took as some time to park on the first day, we walked from the B and B the following days. Plenty of places to eat and drink, along with pubs, some with live music.
If you like history they have street boards that tell you the history of each street and Deal its self. They also have museum's and a small market on Saturdays.

Lovely being at the seaside, we parked at the castle, which was only £1.10 per hour. We walked along the front and breathed in the lovely sea air. We loved the sounds of the seagulls and children laughing playing pitch and putt. We had coffees, which were reasonably priced. We felt relaxed and happy
Fantastic location and not the first time we've stayed at Dunkerley's - we love the restaurant and bar and fact it's right on the seafront. Really enjoyed our full English breakfast there, was cooked and presented really nicely and was good produce too. The room was a nice size and immaculately clean. Deal as a town is fantastic too - lots of lovely bars, pubs and restaurants, the local market on a Saturday is a must-visit too and it's a great base for exploring other parts of Kent in a close proximity.
close to seaward gallery, timeball tower, deal maritime and local history museum, kent museum of the moving image and walmer castle just a 5min drive away (all worth a visit). overall good value, friendly laid back staff, and your room is above a lovely restaurant that serve great quality food
We booked the Clarendon because of its position in Deal. The manager Orla is exceptional. She could not do enough to make sure our stay was perfect. She is an absolute credit to the hotel. The rooms are very clean and extremely comfortable.
The location was perfect. We just booked Deal not knowing anything about the town. But it was again perfect for us, easy transport hub, interesting housing, well kept and clean, good pubs, food and shops And loved brunch on the Pier.
We liked the atmosphere of the hotel come Pub, our room looked over the sea, the hotel is a beautiful and well kept location everyone who passes or drinks on the open roadside tables takes photos it is ideal.
