One of my favorite hotels due to staff’s warm welcome, excellent restaurant and cozy bar area. We were treated like long, lost friends by staff, had some excellent meals and thoroughly enjoyed the public areas of the hotel, which were full of Scottish charm. However, we had booked a twin bedroom that, though it had comfortable bedding, was much too small for two people plus luggage. We literally had to walk sideways around the beds to get to the bathroom. Plus, there was a little to no surface area to put things such as luggage, cosmetics, etc.. I understand they will be undergoing a thorough remodel this winter season, and will go back again due to the lovely people, and overall atmosphere of the hotel. When we checked out, it felt like we were leaving family.
The centrally located Heathmount Hotel is 10 minutes’ walk from Inverness Castle, and offers Scottish whiskey, Illy coffee and freshly mixed cocktails in its 2 contrasting bars.

The Loch Ness Country House Hotel offers excellent food and elegant rooms. It is a striking Georgian building in 6 acres of gardens, 1.9 mi from Inverness city center.

Large room with lounge and large bathroom looking over gardens. Really clean, large bed and plenty of space to move around. Multiple tv stations compared to other hotels. The staff were fantastic, friendly accommodating. They could not be faulted.

The best stay. Comfortable, clean, spacious. Having the washer/dryer was a great touch for us light packers. Being from Texas we like things bigger and I was more than happy with the size of the unit.
The best part, our hosts were so accommodating. I needed to find a place to get hair and makeup done before an event. They scheduled both appointments for me after gathering all the info. They also left us milk for coffee, chocolate, wine… such a sweet touch. Any time we had a question, they were right there to help. Questions about directions there?
