We loved everything about our stay at Craigbank Guest House. From the warm friendly welcome, piped music in the morning during breakfast and the comfy beds plus all the little thoughtful little extras that Veronica & Colin provided. They are the best hosts ever

A very central location for exploring Scotland's Southern Highlands - easy to take in Loch Lomond , Loch Awe and Oban area and get up to GlenCoe from here. Lovely scenery on the doorstep and convenient local shops . The Real Food Cafe a few miles to the nortth at Tyndrum offers amazing food all day in a cozy atmosphere.

Small town, cute corner store with nice staff.
Small town, cute corner store with nice staff. Best western hotel had a nice lounge and good breakfast options. Nothing to do in the town, definitely just a pit stop, would skip it if ever hiking the west highland way again.

Crianlarich is a wee village in the heart of the southern highlands, ideally placed for hiking, especially if you are climbing Munros -- there must be 30 or more within 40 miles, and about 4 you can climb right from the village. It is very easily accessed by train and bus, although having a car gives you a lot more options. There is one small shop that seems to sell everything!
Places you can visit easily from Crianlarich include Falls of Dochart, Loch Tay, Glen Lochay, Glen Lyon, Loch Lomond, Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Glen Orchy, Glen Etive.

The village is small with one shop.
The village is small with one shop. The local pub serves good food. The problem I encountered was to do with the misleading mileage on the West Highland Way from Rowardennan. It was actually 22 miles and over half of it over very rocky/muddy paths alongside Loch Lomond. Getting to and staying at Crianlarich was a nice relief

John was a wonderful host and he went the extra mile to help us whilst walking the West Highland Way. Room was very comfortable and our breakfast was excellent. My daughter and I loved our stay here, if your on the West Highland Way this is a great spot to stay not far of the trail, Crianlarich has everything you need but make sure you stay here..
On arrival from West Highland Way, we were directed via a note at Glenbruar House over to check in at the Crianlarich Hotal. We were pleasantly surprised to find we had been upgraded into the main hotel and a lovely spacious superior room with great facilities. We also had great service and a lovely evening meal and breakfast during our stay.
Very comfy and cosy bedroom. Option to use a bath if preferred to the shower en-suite. Wonderful breakfast included with lots of choice. Owners friendly and gave lots of information about surrounding area and restaurants.
Brilliant hospitality from Shona, superbly fitted/kitted out, enormous breakfast menu (a typical; farmer's start to the day). Couldn't find any shortcomings or faults.
