Very charming B&B!
The entry is through the old pub which is cozy and inviting with several fireplaces. The more modern dining area is open and airy with a lovely skylighted roof and open look into the kitchen. They have a very nice wine list and dinner both nights was excellent. Also, the included breakfast is the best we’ve had, with both a continental buffet and menu service.
The hotel area is through the backyard garden area, which looks like it’s absolutely lovely in season. When you enter the cottage area, there is a complimentary nightcap setup in the hallway, so cute! Our room and bathroom were spacious, the bed was firm and comfortable with nice linens.

Cookham is a charming village very pretty with access to a good number of walks including along the Thames. An amazing selection of pubs/places to drink (including in Cookham Dean) and choice of places to eat. Lovely mix of buildings, including the church and the excellent Stanley Spencer Gallery. Only downside is the potential limited parking (although we got a space on the high street 20 yards from the hotel (thank goodness for minis!). It was bonfire night and the community came out to watch the great display over the Thames. Everyone very friendly. It is also a good hub to reach other attractions (we actually came on after racing at Ascot.

Great selection of pubs and restaurants.
Great selection of pubs and restaurants. Bel and The Dragon is superb.
Pleasant country footpaths and riverside.
Walked to Cliveden (National Trust), though it was much longer than planned (3.5 miles), due to flooded footpaths.
Geocaching took me on an interesting tour, including Stanley Spencer (artist) locations.

Cookham is a beautiful place with a small high street, that had plenty of eateries. We enjoyed a 'trio of roasts' at The Ferry, which was a short walk from the high street & on the high street itself, we had an amazing curry at The Malik.
We did a ninety minute walk along the Thames path, which took us to a lovely place called 'Marlow' The high street boasts a host of wonderful shops & bars & a lot of independents too. Definitely worth a visit

Lunch at the Bel and Dragon (almost next door) was memorable - a great place to meet friends from London. Cookham is a beautiful village with (normally) great walks along the towpath - there were some huge floods when we were there but we enjoyed the village anyway.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable comfortable, the breakfast was very good, recommend Sunday lunch, excellent.
The staff were very friendly, if your going to stay in Cookham to visit surrounding areas , this place is perfect,
We have had a lovely 3 nights here , can highly recommend The Crown .
The hotel is beautiful, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. In particular, the breakfast chef made us pastries and set out food for us way before "serving time" each day as we had to catch early trains into London.
The staff were cheerful and helpful. The room was pleasant and the meals were very enjoyable. The appearance & ambience of the
hotel/ public house were on the whole very good, with one or two exceptions.
Staff are really friendly, the food was good and the hotel was excellent value. We stayed prior to flying from Heathrow Airport, so the location was great.
