It is in a pretty part of the world. About a five minute walk for the house in Shotley Bridge is a Restaurant "Sale &Pepe" basically Italian but with other cuisine as well. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much we went two days in a row.

The room was ok but it had a few things that didn't work the way they should have. Dinner and breakfast needed more staff. This could have been to Covid issue but one or two more staff would have been helpful to all.

From entering the hotel,it was amazing with a lovely warm welcome from reception and the room was amazing. Spent time using the facilities and thet your good.the bar and restaurant was beautiful with a fantastic meal in the restaurant, and the service from all the staff was excellent they couldn't of done anything else to make your stay with them, it was amazing thank you.
The location just outside Consett is very nice and there are many animals nearby. Our room was clean, comfortably furnished and had a very large, comfortable bed. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and is amply sized if you want. There is also plenty to do for families with children, e.g. a petting corner, alpacas, donkey etc. We give *****.
Nice quiet location with easy access to Consett and beyond, nice spacious accommodation with everything u needed, the kitchen had all the home comforts of washing machine, dishwasher etc, plenty of room for 4 people also penty of parking on the road
Room was large with nice views over the countryside. Lovely comfortable beds. Excellent shower. Decor throughout the hotel was excellent. Lovely meal in the restaurant in the evening which again was very elegantly decorated.
