We had a lovely stay. The hotel has been totally refurbished so everything is new and very clean. The rooms aren't huge but have everything you need for an overnight stay. We had a slight issue at check-in as the sofa bed for our son had not been made up but Debbie the night manager and Alisha the lady from the bar were incredibly kind and helpful and quickly resolved the issue. Similarly the hairdryer in our room didn't work but Debbie solved the issue immediately and was so professional and polite. All of the staff were very polite and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Staff were amazing, so incredibly friendly and helpful. They bent over backwards to help. The room, toilets and restaurant were very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the room temperature was easy to control. There are incredible views from the restaurant and the food was nice pub food. It is table service and the food is all freshly cooked to order where possible - obviously not practical with something like lasagne (which was nice). Think they said everything is made on site rather than bought in. You do need to allow time for the table service and fresh cooking though as not the quickest process.

Staff was friendly on arrival, the system was down but they was very upbeat and apologised for delay in check in, facilities well explained, Marco restaurant staff was very nice so was the food, breakfast was lovely, however, a little pricey for what it is but still very nice

Good size bathroom, sleeping area and well organized eating place. The cottage was clean and quiet modern. Nice location. They accept dogs, but place do not have a safe place to go for walk with dog, very close to busy road.

Stayed for one night, room very comfortable and to an excellent standard eg bed comfort and bedding. Breakfast very good and excellent service. The Congresbury Arms is situated on the main road through the town, our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the road, so noise was a worry. But proved unfounded with the window glazing and traffic very light during the night. Very happy with our stay. Very well maintained garden at the rear.

The hotel did an amazing job at making you feel welcome.
The hotel did an amazing job at making you feel welcome. Tailored welcome note with our names on. Calling ahead of our arrival to see if we needed dinner reservations as the restaurant was booking up. Bottled water, nuts, biscuits, tea and coffee all available in the room. Breakfast was amazing!

Small with excellent restaurant within walking distance or dine inhouse. It is relatively close to where friends live and less than 30 minutes to Bristol where we had to visit. Cheddar gorge and many other inland sites or visit the coast e.g. Weston-Super-Mare which is close by. This was a return visit for us as we knew the location and hotel would suit our needs well. Really cannot emphasise enough just how welcoming and accommodating the staff are and they really take a pride in looking after their guests.

Good location for visiting Bristol and the surrounding area. Excellent fulfilling breakfast with good range of choice. Also had two evening meals there which were very enjoyable and well priced. Comfortable room with good facilities. Friendly and helpful staff.
Have stayed in three hotels in the South of Bristol area and this is by far the best. Would definitely book there again.
Comfy room for a two night stay. Had a fantastic evening meal on the Friday night, so good we had the same again on the Saturday. Breakfast was very good too. Loved the village of Congresbury, very picturesque and handy for travelling to Bristol for the day. Very friendly staff and would stay again.
Very kind and professional staff, ready to support when required. Good and tasty breakfast. Nice position in the countryside. On the check-out day they prepared us a small take-away breakfast as we were leaving the hotel very early in the morning
Excellent from start to finish. From the very warm welcome to the attentive staff at Dinner.
Very yummy food and the best espresso martini I have ever had.
Will definitely be my hotel of choice when in the area
