The Northwood, hotel in Colwyn Bay

The Northwood offers accommodations in Colwyn Bay, a 3-minute walk from Rhos-on-Sea Beach and 4.5 miles from Llandudno Pier.

Why this hotel is Adult only is confusing as Booking.com enabled my search to continue. This was a shameful experience on all parts. Book this establishment at caution.

The Copthorne, hotel in Colwyn Bay

Featuring a garden, The Copthorne provides accommodations in Colwyn Bay. With garden views, this accommodation features a patio.

Compact but comfortable, and had everything which was needed, apart from decent connectivity. Apart from that, one person for two nights was fine, and would also be suitable for a couple.

    Lovely friendly town. Fantastic beach.

Lovely friendly town. Fantastic beach. Well placed to visit other places in North Wales. A MUST vist is INK, an upcoming cafe/bar with very forward thinking owners. They concentrate on art, culture and diversity just a fantastic space to be in. The beach is spacious clean and not overcrowded. Loads of walking/stolling to be done at whatever pace suits you best.

The beautiful, golden beach is wonderful.

The beautiful, golden beach is wonderful. It's a very family-friendly place with some lovely pubs with play areas for children. Lots of touristy shops and places to eat. It's also an excellent base for visiting local attractions. I went to the Zoo, Bodnant Gardens and Conwy Castle.

Although part of Colwyn bay Rhos on sea could not be more different from main Colwyn bay town both old and new. While I found main Colwyn bay quite dated and in need of some tlc,Rhos on sea itself is a delightful place to be with the beach and surrounding properties along with no overcrowding making in my opinion the little gem it is.

We stayed in Rhos on Sea at the Whithall B&B which was cosy with lovely staff and welcoming atmosphere, also a fab breakfast. The Beach which is opposite, was clean and tidy and is currently (Aug 2023) undergoing redevelopment/upgrade of the promenade. There are a handlful of local shops and amenities, as well as a couple of lovely bars and tap rooms. We highly recommend a visit to Grape to the Glass, a lovely cosy wine bar/tap room. The staff were fabulous and had a wealth of knowledge regarding the wine etc that they also sell by the bottle/can. Also a walk along the coast approx 2 miles towards Penrhyn Bay where there is the lovely Beach Cafe

Lovely area so close to so many things to do, all the beaches are really clean with brilliant views. We visited Rhyl, Llandudno, Tonwy, Rhos on sea, Conwy, the Welsh Mountain zoo, the local castles, the local Farm Park and also just stopped along the coast road to access the beach for the kids. Would definitely recommend! And would recommend a trip to Hickorys to eat out which is just along the road!

It was easy to find and easy to park almost outside though parking is only free at night. The lounge area was spacious and comfortable with afternoon sunshine. It is close to the North Wales Expressway (though no noise from it) which meant we could easily get to other places from our apartment. The cooking facilities were good and we were able to prepare meals on a couple of evenings. I thought the apartment itself was a good place to stay though I wouldn't choose Colwyn Bay again because everything was shut after six o'clock.

The B&B was well located, very close to this lovley little town and beach. It was clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable and the hotel was warm with plenty of light and ventilation when needed. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. There are plenty of information leaflets at the property to advise you wheer to go. We had fresh mugs, teas, coffee replaced every day. There was a good choice of breakfast menu. Dog friendly and host even gave us some breakfast for ours.

we loved the town and even found time to visit the beautiful Colwyn Bay beach, (wish we'd had more time to spend at the beach. maybe next time). what we all truly loved was the surrounding landscape: the high, steep hills and cliffs near Conwy, the astounding Aber Falls we visited and the view from the peak of Mt Snowdon. safe to say we all loved our time in Wales, short as it was, but was all plan to come back for a longer stay sometime.

The property was clean and all the rooms were very spacious. It was close to the centre of Colwyn Bay and location was just off the A55 Express Way, was easy to find. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch. The host responded quickly to our request for additional towels and bedding. All rooms were clean and well presented, lovely huge bathroom. Nice courtyard at the back to sit out.

The flat was lovely, it had everything you could need. The location was excellent a 10 minute walk to either town center Colwyn bay or to the erias stadium. Milk was left in the fridge as well as teacakes. It was all very thoughtful and a lovely experience to stay there
