The room was comfortable. Sadly a few things that let it down. No hairdryer in room, the milk provided in the room was rancid, the hollandaise sauce served with the Eggs Florentine tasted odd. The service at breakfast was poor - items forgotten that had been ordered, waitress coming back a second time to ask the same question.

The independence how you could come back & access the building & your room with ease late at night (we’d been to a wedding)

Greeted by a really nice friendly guy on my arrival. Room a decent size for what I wanted. I saw everything was very clean and had the smell of clean as well, you could tell they'd made the effort. The toilet and shower and sink etc were cleaned spick and span. Plenty of toilet roll. Good things provided like tea bags and milk, even really tasty shortbread biscuits on the table! Bed could have done with an extra pillow, but that's just my preference. Bed was very comfy and soft! Some beds I've slept in before at hotels/b&bs have left me in pain as I am physically disabled, but this one didn't and I slept well. Didn't have anything to eat in the restaurant, but that's my own fault cos I didn't have time. Will definitely stay again!

Beautiful quiet, private location, stunning sunset, cozy and warm, very comfortable king size bed, every utensil thought of. There is a kettle! The bathroom being 150m away could be an issue for some but we didn’t mind as the property was such good value for money. Very clean and modern bathroom facilities. Lovely, friendly, easily contactable hosts. Highly recommend.

This was my fifth stay, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. While I couldn’t stay in the deluxe room this time due to it being fully booked, the standard room was still comfortable and met my needs. The value for money and the excellent facilities golf course, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room make it a great escape. However, there were a few downsides. The bathroom felt outdated, there were no bathrobes provided, and the view wasn’t the best from my room. Additionally, it’s a bit inconvenient that there’s still no direct walking path from the hotel rooms to the leisure facilities, meaning guests have to walk outside to access the main building. Despite these small issues, it remains a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, whether solo or with a partner.

This place has function rooms for birthdays/weddings/etc, the hotel rooms are also relaxing, it also has facilities like The Gym, indoor pool with Steam Room, Sauna and Hot Tub, it also had a lovely bar called The Pulse that serves great food, and has kids colouring books and games for babies. This place just doesn’t have a hotel it is also a golf club where people can play golf.

Coggleshall is a pretty little village in Essex . It isn’t big by any means but ample shops with lovely pubs and restaurants, everything needed for a quiet get away ! We stayed at The Woolpack pub (our first stay there and will definitely be going back) it was fantastic, a beautiful room, had a lovely lunch and such friendly staff . We ate at Ranfields Brasserie where we go every year for 3 birthday celebrations and it it such a fab restaurant with faultless food and service

Such a lovely 1400 rustic pub
Such a lovely 1400 rustic pub
Staff were so accommodating, going that extra mile
Even though the owner was behind the bar she went out of her way to help me with the WiFi
She also put some syrup pudding aside as there was only three left
The room was lovely and cosy , the bathroom was spacious with a huge shower
The only negative I would say is the breakfast was a bit disappointing! Not the best quality and would have preferred a fresh Croissant and a tasty granola with small packets of cereal as my husband doesn’t like muesli. Orange juice was lovely and a good selection of hot drinks with an option to ask for more

It's a really nice hotel in a stunning location and has amazing facilities such as a top class gym, lovely swimming pool with sauna, steam, and jacuzzi (all included in booking). It's got an amazing restaurant and bar however it is abit over priced but worth it! Staff are really friendly and helpful and it has a massive car park! Beds are really comfy and rooms were very spacious! Only things I found were that the roads leading up to it had no pavements, the nearest train station is a few miles away (not sure where busses go from) but you may need a taxi to get there!

Nice old building with lots of character, in it's own extensive grounds away from the village. Plenty of parking. Indoor swimming pool and spa/gym complex adjacent to the hotel. Food was good. Very relaxing place to stay. Nice big room with separate shower room and wc closet. Helpful staff (helped with our bags up the stairs). Small bar area, lounge, library and snug. Sun terrace and large garden. Very '30's feel to it but the pool/gym complex is modern.
These newly furnished rooms were very nicely done, very comfortable, food shower temperature and pressure ( which is important to me.
The restaurant that the rooms are attached to has 2 rossets , and is very friendly, with excellent staff and food.
Coggeshall itself is an amazing little town for its period buildings , of all shoes and sizes..
