Stayed at this hotel for a night out at the Emporium. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and it has a good bar aswell with decent music and a pool table. Close to nearby town (5-6 minutes walk) and the facilities, hotel room were clean and fine. Would visit again in the future. Parking spaces are also available for guests behind the hotel for no extra cost or charge either which was ideal.
Originally built as a farmhouse in 1672, the Fieldhead is situated on the edge of Charnwood Forest, just 7 miles from Leicester and 1 mile from Junction 22 of the M1.

Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable, good value for money. Nice place and friendly staff.
However, the car park is full of pot holes and could cause a lot of damage to the car if you are unlucky enough to hit one!

I went to Coalville for a party with friends who live in the area. I don't think there is much to see in Coalville itself although they did have a very interesting hoarding up with the history of the town. If I had more time, I may have explored more but I was only there for a couple of nights.
We ate in the Turkish restaurant . highly recommend.

I did not book there, I booked for Markfield.
I did not book there, I booked for Markfield. I rang through to cancel, they couldn’t see I’d booked. A few weeks later they took £192 out of my bank. I’m a pensioner and that took me into an overdraft which is not free. I complained. The arguments go on. They will not pay me back. They are robbing pensioners, it’s sad when they reduce themselves to this!!!!

I used the hotel to attend a music event at the Victoria Bikers Pub opposite so I didn't see the town. However, there is the Hermitage Fishing Lake and Recreation Ground a 5 minute walk away which made for a really nice walk on Saturday morning before the event in the afternoon.

We weren't staying there to visit Coalville.
We weren't staying there to visit Coalville. We were visiting relatives a few miles away and we were using the hotel as a base. Having said that, it looked like a busy town as we were driving through.

The staff were very helpful.and friendly . The rooms were spacious and bed very comfy .the hotel was quiet and rooms were clean . As much coffee n tea and biscuits as you required. Breakfast was available at a cost of £10,00 .Free car parking .
The room allocated to us was at the back of the hotel, away from the lorry park, so was very quiet. It was comfortable and very clean. The evening meal was well cooked with ample portions and represented very good value for money.
Good friendly staff, good location, good little pub. You get what you pay for, isn't a 5* hotel but it was perfect for what we needed and what we paid for it.
