Me and my partner we're moved from 21 Bursar Street to the Gladson Guesthouse 2 days prior. Very much love the location as its a 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach front and 2 minutes to the local shops and bars. Despite this house being on a roundabout, we had no problems with outside noise or traffic. The place is not staffed and checking in and out of the property was easy. The bed was very comfortable, had plenty of towels on arrival and mattress and pillows were clean. The room was clean and equipped with plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs & glasses - some looked like had been left by previous guests. There is a small pot with tea, coffee and sugar and a kettle to the side. Sufficient storage, little fridge freezer and a microwave. The wi-fi was fast. Very ideal for couples stay or a solo stay but wouldn't recommend for families.
A Nice coastal resort, plenty of restaurants and bars.
A Nice coastal resort, plenty of restaurants and bars. Easy to walk about or try the steam train.
Great food at Agrah Indian restaurant and fish and chips at Steels fish and chip restaurant, booking advisable.
The Nottingham for a pint or two, very friendly staff and locals.
Nice walk along the promenade to the fitties.

The seafront was really clean and there were lots of places to eat and drink. The only bad thing was the lack of decent shopping. There wasn't any big retail stores even at the shopping centre there was only a factory shop. The locals were very friendly and said they had to go to Grimsby if they wanted clothes

I am originally from Grimsby. I have lived away for many years but often return to Grimsby/Cleethorpes for a break.
Cleethorpes is a fab place to visit for the beach, boating lake with lots of different birds. Lots of walks, restaurants and cafes. I would recommend Harriets cafe, friendly staff, with traditional home cooked food at amazing prices £8.50 for steak pie (See photo steak pie), it's the best.
If you have children there is the sandpit and the paddling pool. There is also the cinema and the leisure centre.
I would highly recommend Cleethorpes as a place for a mini break or a 2 week holiday. There is plenty to do for both adults and children.

It was small and traditional seaside resort. Lots to do.
It was small and traditional seaside resort. Lots to do. Very long beach. Loved Humber Pasttimes amusement arcade and its live bingo. Grimsby and its fishing museum is 10 minutes away by train.
Little lollipop road train takes you to the coastal light railway which is a miniature steam train. The pier is a nice fish and chip shop.
Live music at weekends. Some nice cafes.
Only drawback is the shortage of public toilets. The ones in the station are open until 7pm ish. Some of the amusement arcades have paid toilets.
Probably too many cars. Sitting on a bench on the promenade and I had my back to a traffic jam. Great train access and buses.

Grimsby has the docks, cleethorpes the sandy beach, the people are lovely beautiful on the inside and outside. Despite the people and areas there being destroyed by labour/eu and lots of propaganda and slander to make people think its better in London, I can clearly see its much better x100000000 than London. The yt vids are pure bs, grimsby and cleethorpes is not full of homeless and crime, you want a true British sea side experience then cleethorpes is the place!

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Cleethorpes
This is a guest house which I think people forget in the reviews, it is not a five star hotel , that being said, the sea front is very close , the room I was in was a ground floor one and it was lovely , there was tea and coffee, a nice bed just that bit low for me ,but that's my Arthritis, the view was a white fence but you don't go for the view in the room you go to the sea front for that, the lady who booked me in was nice, and the toilet and shower were a few steps away , I shall stop there again when next in Cleethorpes.
Great location near to everything but not seafront, although very near to the seafront, well organised , very clean , good breakfast and plenty of choice , friendly staff and liked having tea making facilities in your room . The hotel let us leave are case there on vacating so we could spend the day in Cleethorpes.
