My room was fine but there is not a lot around this hotel. It is mostly for people jumping on and off cruise ships. In all fairness i had a terrible cold so wasnt feeling well when i stayed there. The beds are to hard for me and so i walked to the Decathlon sporting goods and picked up a backpackers air mattress to use on top of the bed ( i always travel with one but mine got a hole in paris first day) ,, anyway a big shout out to Luis in the Restaurant Bar !! He was terrific,, and even made me a hot lemon/honey drink when he saw i wasnt feeling well,, what a lovely human also great pizza in room service

Convenient to train station. Room very clean. Bed a little more firm than I would prefer. Staff great. Breakfast good. The reason we chose ibis budget was due to being pet friendly. Will stay there again. Liked the ability to delay check out until 1130 am.

The staff was very helpful. I really liked them. The location is across the street from the train station (of course it's not where you can walk directly across, you have to walk a short way to the corner to cross) so that is convenient. It's about a 10 minute walk to the West Quay shopping and restaurant complex, once you find the most direct path which took us a couple of days to figure out. Past that it's what I'd call a nice, adequate hotel. Nothing to write home about. Nothing bad either.
Chilworth Manor is an impressive Edwardian manor house set in 12 acres of beautiful gardens. It has rooms with attached bathroom, a pool, a hot tub and free Wi-Fi.

The Location was desirable for us as we were taking a cruise the next day. However, we did not realize that Southampton had multiple cruise embarkation locations and were not as close as we thought. The location was ideal for restaurants and venues as they were on the same block. The staff was quick to respond to email inquiries. Accurate hotel information was posted online along with timely email on entry details. The room was clean and well maintained. The wi-fi worked okay but was a bit slow at times. Nice that they had coffee/tea in the room for us to enjoy. Overall, we thought this was a nice place to spend the night.
