Hotel Bosco, hotel in Chessington

This 4-star boutique hotel offers eco-friendly luxury accommodation, set just a few metres from Surbiton Rail Station.

I was pleased to see I could park and unload outside. On checking in, The staff were very helpful. The card system worked well. I had said I would arrive for a quick change at 12 noon. In the event, I was a bit late and had a bit of a further delay as the room wasn’t ready. Parking. I paid £7 but never found it. A little map showing the route would be helpful. Told beyond Waitrose which I had seen on the way in on St James Road but Waitrose, I discovered in the morning is facing two roads. I had gone down the wrong one. I was running out of time and fortunately saw St Philp’s car park where I paid £10.80! Ouch as £7 already paid and wasted. I had a very good nights sleep in room 106 despite only, in the morning, finding the earplugs to deafen the nightclub sound A few helpful notes …. It would have been nice to have a hook on the back of the door for hanging my coat. The bedside tables were great and luckily moveable …. One to use one for my suitcase - my suitcase, like others’, may have been stood in the road or travelled on an airport baggage conveyor and I respect bedlinen too much to put a suitcase on the bed. Then I needed the bedside table to lift the very useful tea and kettle tray over onto it. The bathroom had very little surface space for my spongebag. Only with loo seat down Room 106. The TV was on Smooth radio but when I tried to change to TV it didn’t work on TV. Pixel problem ? The shower controls were VERY stiff Useful Mirror was v wobbly + earplugs + non slip mat + lovely white towels + heated towel rail/ radiator Right hand blind wouldn’t go up in morning - my fault as I may have brought it down too far presumably Not sure how the air system worked. I normally sleep with a window open. Clearly not a good idea above a nightclub. But was an air flow there? Air con? I was so tired I slept well. That’s my feedback! With regards

The themed rooms and hotels are amazing and certainly add a little something to your stay. The perk of having the Azteca Gate open certainly makes gaining access to the theme park much simpler and stress free compared to arriving as a day guest and I would recommend this! The hotel really should make more of this on their marketing as it really is worthwhile. We did notice that many more brightly lit screens and gaming areas had popped up even in the Zufari Bar and this is not positive if you want your children to be able to relax at all - there is a huge minecraft screen in the bar at £2 a play and it was my child's constant focus while we were on the lower floor! There are two restaruants and the prices have also gone up and in my opinion are too high for a family holiday. Overall though we loved our three night stay and feel that this hotel offers something different when visiting Chessington World of Adventures.

Not a lot around the area if on foot, if not eating at hotel take plenty of snacks etc. personally we felt the restaurant was very expensive cheapest starter approx £10 mains £20 upwards milkshakes for kids £8 . Book experience in the hotel by restaurant is a booking machine easy to use much cheaper than on line. I had giraffe experience ( amazing) on line £45 in hotel £36 can be booked same day or day after different times assuming they are available. Probably be busier school holidays went went June.

We loved the hotel. We had 2 rooms.

We loved the hotel. We had 2 rooms. One in Safari and one in Azteca. Both clean and comfy. The Azteca room was very colourful with animal wallpaper. The breakfasts were buffet style and the same in both Zafari and Temple. So much choice on offer. We ate at both restaurants in the evening. Zafari was a menu and Temple was buffet style with lots of choice to mix and match if you liked. We preferred Temple, the roast pork was delicious and liked the choices on offer. The early access was excellent. The world of jumanji was open for hotel guests along with seastorm and the gruffalo. We rode mandrill mayhem 3 times in a row during that hour. Awesome coaster! Vampire was only running one train and on half capacity when we visited but luckily it was mid week and the park wasn't busy, although the Friday queues almost doubled. We even got an afternoon trip into London as Chessington South train station is a 10 minute walk and takes you direct to Waterloo Station within 30 minutes for £10. Definitely worth it. We loved our stay and would highly recommend for adults and children.

Location of hotel was convenient for attending a funeral.

Location of hotel was convenient for attending a funeral. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and polite. Food in the restaurants was good and catered for food allergies. Our stay was out of season but having previously lived in this area heavy traffic can be problematic in the summertime.
