Beautiful hotel and gardens in a gorgeous setting. Service was top notch and staff very friendly and welcoming. The quality of the food exceeded my expectations. Dining room staff were very attentive and the menu was very varied. Excellent chef and kitchen staff. Will definitely visit again.
The bedroom and bathroom were very tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. The hotel's interiors and exteriors, including the gardens were meticulously maintained.

The view is superb, if you want cosy relaxing location away from busy cities. Cleanliness of room is excellent, the only issue is the Heating system (radiator) in Room 6 is making a noise early morning that disturbed our sleep, hope they will sort it out otherwise everything is superb.Thanks.

Excellent rural location in the centre of a range of visits and activities. A number of rural pubs (Tankersville Arms, Pack Horse Inn) within a few miles provided excellent food and ambience so not short of food and drink and things to do. Fitted our need perfectly.

Lots of lovely clean stretches of beach walks and interesting areas to visit.
Cragside House was a fantastic day, give yourself the whole day to look around the house and grounds.
Bamburgh Castle well worth a visit, need at least 4-5 hours and then can walk down from there to the beautiful beach.

We always go up to this area every year mostly Beadnell it's a fantastic area to explore the cabins are fine place to stop in but if you like peace and quiet don't book as the ball is a popular wedding venue which for us later on the night became quite noisy would have been better on a Sunday maybe . What you could not fault was the amazing breakfast at the joiners arms Ellsworth a vist

Hotel staff were lovely.. Room was comfortable, a bit too warm had to open windows.
Breakfast choice varied..
Dinner the first night was lovely.
2nd morning breakfast very delayed. Didn't complain as we were not in a rush. Staff kindly deducted price from bill. Serving staff not at fault seemed to be a kitcen related problem.
A magnificent venue in a beautiful location. Although the hotel does not have its own restaurant, dinner at the nearby Joiner’s Arms was delicious and very pleasant. Possibly the best breakfast this decade 👍🏼👍🏼
The breakfast brought to room was perfect and catered for vegan request perfectly. The best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. It was also great to have lots of toiletries to use.
