Excellent rural location in the centre of a range of visits and activities. A number of rural pubs (Tankersville Arms, Pack Horse Inn) within a few miles provided excellent food and ambience so not short of food and drink and things to do. Fitted our need perfectly.

Lots of lovely clean stretches of beach walks and interesting areas to visit. Cragside House was a fantastic day, give yourself the whole day to look around the house and grounds. Bamburgh Castle well worth a visit, need at least 4-5 hours and then can walk down from there to the beautiful beach.

We always go up to this area every year mostly Beadnell it's a fantastic area to explore the cabins are fine place to stop in but if you like peace and quiet don't book as the ball is a popular wedding venue which for us later on the night became quite noisy would have been better on a Sunday maybe . What you could not fault was the amazing breakfast at the joiners arms Ellsworth a vist

Excellent base for visiting Alnwick, Lindisfarne and walking parts of the England Coastal Path. Embleton Bay and a visit to Craster to buy locally sourced and smoked kippers, and call at the Jolly Fisherman are a must!

Beautiful hotel, lovely facilities and food was excellent especially dinner. Staff could not be more helpful. We stayed in the coach house so the only tiny niggle was no umbrella provided in the room for the walk up to breakfast in the (heavy) rain, which would have been a nice touch - would have been happy to pay a £25 refundable deposit for a complementary golf umbrella! Pool was quite cold but lovely spa area.
