This traditional hotel in Carrbridge is a little difficult to describe. While we enjoyed our stay and we were comfortable here, there were some things we didn't like.
The food was really good and breakfast service was good. We had dinner in the bar next to the crackling fireplace one night.
Beds were comfortable and clean, with lovely wool covers.

This is in a small village next to the railway station. The town has a few Royal Scotsman cars on display. The room was comfortable with a great view of the countryside. The carpark was around to the side for easy parking and unloading. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Great location. The history associated with the building is amazing as a stop in the Cairngorm national Park. A small walking garden across the road makes it a wonderful jaunt.

Everything about this establishment was excellent! The room was clean and nicely appointed, the facility was exceptionally clean, breakfast was wonderful and the owners could not be lovelier. I guarantee anyone would enjoy their stay here. Wish we had stayed a night longer. One of my top two favorites on our 2 week vacation in Scotland.

This place had plenty of room for our family of four to spread out, and was quiet, comfortable and easily walkable to groceries, restaurants, etc. It was only a 15-minute drive to great hiking in the Carimgorms National Park, so a perfect "base camp" for our trip.

Easily accessible, lots to see and do. Within a short drive to other locations such as Loch Morlich but also lots to see within walking or cycling distance too. Lots of historical sites and the most amazing scenery to enjoy.

Carrbridge is an attractive quiet village with woodland walks around it. It has a shop, garage (cheap petrol) and a cafe. The Landmark attraction is great for children and the Highland Wildlife Park is not far - both great activities.

It was very peaceful.
It was very peaceful. The staff Gina was helpful when we arrived. It was a bit far from anywhere walking. The lodge was adequate and the kitchen was fully equipped. However the cooker was old and while clean wasn’t very nice. Some of the buttons were worn and difficult to use. The heating was adequate. The bed felt hard and too narrow. We didn’t eat out so can’t comment on eating places. However it wasn’t far from Aviemore. We visited the ski centre, Loch Garten and Loch Morlich.

Beautiful location, nice and cosy cabin with beautiful nature surrounding it. Esay access to the Town and local market.
There is an activity area for the children but it is very expensive, horse riding and boat trips are also available in the area.

Nice old fashioned inn; food and drink excellent, great staff, especially Nathan, who went above and beyond to greet everyone at the bar. Despite shampoo and soap issue and noisy plumbing in my room, I’ll be back.
Owner managed . Donald was an exceptional host . The property was very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Very tastefully furnished and a lovely drawing room to relax. The dining room was spotless with very good quality cutlery, glassware and crockery. Breakfast ordered the night before was served by Donald . so much better then buffet breakfasts so often found in hotels these days . Best Scottish breakfast we had in Scotland and attentively served. Donald has a very good selection of Whisky’s and we enjoyed a very good nightcap .
2nd visit to this lovely house in the middle of Carrbridge, for 2 weeks this time. Even better than the last time. New furniture, beds and garden furniture have further improved what was already a great house to spend a relaxing break in. Very clean, with everything you could need. Welcome pack always a nice touch too. Highly recommend!
Lovely hotel in the center of the town, close to many waking trails. The room was welcoming, modern and warm (heating was in from time to time...in July.) Wi-fi was also great in the room. The restaurant served delicious food. My best stay in Scotland!
Not a great deal, we have spent a couple of long weekends at, MacDonald Hotel resorts, and to be honest, this was the worst one we have been to,and we wouldn't recommend it to anyone else
