We enjoyed our stay at this really pleasant hotel. The room we were given was a good size, comfortable, very clean and quiet.
The bathroom was exceptional, with a fabulous shower. Tea, coffee, biscuits and kettle provided, and there was also a mini fridge and bottles of water.
The bed was comfortable, the linen clean and good quality, and plenty of pillows available.
We had a drink in the bar downstairs, which was obviously popular with locals, with many of them enjoying the food available.
If we’re up that way again we’ll have no hesitation in booking here again.

It's in an ideal spot to visit the south lakes and towns of Lancaster and Morecambe. We actually went to a funeral at Beetham crematorium which is just 6 miles north. Not far from M6 so a got stop off point to break your journey north .

The Longlands is not in the town of Carnforth, it is located at Tewitfield Marina nearby.
Tewitfield is in the countryside, close to the Lancaster canal with some great walks. I can imagine that there is a lot going on in the school holidays and weekends, alongside the marina with a good atmosphere.
It is in close proximity of the M6 and A6 making it accessible to the South Lakes and Morecambe bay.
We drove through Carnforth it is a busy town on the A6

Lovely comfortable and clean rooms, with an excellent breakfast included in the price. The restaurant meals were good quality, but for me the thing that distinguishes the place from others was the wonderful staff they have. From reception to check out the quality and friendliness was outstanding.

Small town but had a lovely book store ( new and second hand) and lots of choice of catergories.I stayed at Royal Station Hotel which provided basic and clean accommodation for the night.
I personally wanted to go to Carnforth to visit the Heritage centre and watch the film Brief Encounter as it was filmed at the Carnforth railway station. The Refreshment room had good choices for lunch. You can also take a train through the edge of The Yorkshire Dales from there.

Carnforth is a small but vibrant town.
Carnforth is a small but vibrant town. There are several pubs, restaurants and an excellent bookshop. Transport links are first rate. There is easy access by train, bus or car to Lancaster, Kendal and the Lake District.
Friendly staff, clean, uncluttered apartment with everything needed for a short stay for two. Free parking outside the door. Pleasant little balcony to sit on and enjoy watching the swans and ducks. Hotel serving good food next door to the marina. Lots of tourist attractions within easy driving reach.
Breakfast was excellent and the service from the staff. All very friendly and welcoming. Loved the fact that tea and coffee were free for residents what an excellent facility. Wish other hotels did this.
Breakfast was what I’d expect from a top class restaurant! not a small town hotel. Delicious. Dining and bar areas were immaculate and very well decorated. Large free car park.
Calm area by the lake. Well equipped kitchen, hotel style bed, parking spot. The staff were very friendly at the main entrance.
The landscapes around the lakes are amazing
