What a wonderful gem of a hotel. It far exceeded our expectations as it was such good value for money. Our room was really comfortable and very spacious and we also had dinner in the restaurant which was superb. Most importantly ALL staff across our stay were so friendly and professional. On a very busy Sunday, they managed to change our dinner reservation without issue. Food and drinks were great. What a credit everyone in this hotel is to the hospitality industry!

If you're looking for somewhere with a clean bed and shower and a nice view for drinks 10mins to the town, this is a perfectly good option for the price. Dated interior design though the lobby & amenities are relatively grand (however still dated). Room was perfectly clean and the view of the lake was a nice bonus. Downstairs bar stayed open late (Thursday) and the terrace just outside the bar is great for a drink with a view. Breakfast was fairly basic but fine for me - traditional English Breakfast buffet plus a choice of cereals & coffee.

The Hosts were extremely friendly and very helpful! Hurstbourne was on a quiet street and neither too far from the Camberley Train Station nor the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Our travel plans changed after we had made the initial reservation and an additional family member was going to be joining us. Another room was made available with no fuss and a reasonable rate. Moreover, the rooms and en suite were well-appointed and quite comfortable. The light breakfast available each morning was fresh and had plenty of variety. We could not have asked for a better stay!

Not an awful lot around Camberley, The Rose and Thistle at Frimley Green is a nice pub with a good menu. There seems to be plenty of places to eat within a 5 mile radius.
We stayed in the area because we went to Wisley Gardens it was a reasonable travel distance.

I have grown up near Camberley.
I have grown up near Camberley. For me, it is a functional, not unpleasant town, that is well-located for access the M3, and certain attractions like Virginia Water, Saville Gardens, Legoland / Windsor Castle, Farnborough Air Show - and a big M+S + Tesco! Plus has nice facilities like Vue multiscreen cinema. The Military Academy's annual heritage day is worth a visit. Otherwise you can't get in there!
I don't think it is a tourist destination in and of itself, however.

If you like a real retro hotel experience this is the place to come to. It must have been the height of luxury in the 1980's. Great location geographically and we slept well but a makeover would we well worth the investment as the location next to the lake is superb. The hotel is clean and well run, and car parking excellent.
Weird layout with steps up to 1st Floor Reception and if you have heavy bags it is a real climb however to the right of the entrance porch there is a lift up to Floor 0. A bus load of ladies arrived when we did, and all lugged their heavy bags up these steps. I am disabled on an electric buggy so needed this lift.

Easy to access by motorway. Lovely area.
Accessible to supermarkets, drive through and a range of pubs and restaurants as well as being close enough to travel to Windsor.
We ate in a local pub ‘The Forresters’ and were able to get a nice coffee from the local Costa when the hotel wouldn’t serve one!!

I know Camberley well as my Mother used to live there. I was staying for 4 nights to swim & use the spa for treatments and visit friends and family close by. It is not a place I would choose to go on holiday!

This was a lovely building with friendly staff! It just looked a bit tired. The room, but particularly the spa area and the changing rooms could do with a little freshen up :) Breakfast was nice enough (loved that we could order all types of eggs), but coffee was less nice. Tasted really funny. Staff - were all excellent!
