Lovely guesthouse situated in beautiful surroundings and Stefano was a fantastic host. We could not serve breakfast because of the early flight we had to catch and we woke up to a bag with sandwiches, fruit, juice and sweets at the door. ❤️
10/10 would recommend.

Perfectly placed if you are exploring the southern part of the Highlands. Not too big, but loads of places to eat/drink. Surrounded by beautiful countryside. Not spoilt by big housing estates/industrial development - picturesque.

Nice, very safe, well kept, small town with good shops & restaurants, not far from Stirling. Although Roman Camp Hotel is very secluded, it’s actually on the Main Street, on the banks of the river Teith.
We stayed at Knowes Guest House during a drive about Scotland toward the end of October 2021 and loved it. We used two rooms and both had very comfortable beds and plenty of room. Breakfast was wonderful and filling with good choice of food even amid the covid pandemic; the owners very hospitable, personable and we enjoyed talking with them. The home is a very short walk from the high street with good restaurants. We have heritage in Callander and found Knowes a wonderful place to base our explorations. Highly recommended.
We went Self catering. Lovely peaceful tranqil location, ideal for a relaxing and unwinding, great area with lots of places to visit locally. Callander is a lovely place with ,friendly people. great location for dog owners as walks direct from lodge.Hosts Tom and Angela were welcoming, helpful and assured us to let them know if we needed anything.Totally enjoyed our stay ,
(good showewr , good bed ) and would highly reccomend Westmains Lodge.
The Roman Camp Hotel was fantastic, the whole experience was wonderful. Every part of our stay was lovely, the food exceptional, the staff super friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble !!!! The grounds were superb and lovely to walk around and most importantly they are very dog friendly. I can not praise this hotel enough..
Dalgair is a friendly hotel in callander and is really the only one with the pub atmosphere.
