Lovely country home in a lovely country setting, about 20 minutes drive to town. The view is pastures & sheep, with Cardiff city and Bay in the background. The rooms are spacious and modern. Very comfortable bed, great shower pressure, good linens, delicious full Welsh breakfasts, and dinners, helpful and friendly staff, easy parking. Some days we drove into old town and surrounding areas, others we organized an uber. Highly recommend.

We were there on a Sunday and it was raining pretty heavily.
We were there on a Sunday and it was raining pretty heavily. Only a couple of places were open. Luckily we got into YFan earlier and had a lovely rest and a tea while waiting for our room thanks to the hosts. They made our stay more pleasurable.

For business and just an overnight stay, we didn't spend a great deal of time exploring.
I would definitely revisit though.
Roads are clearly marked and there is lots of car parks or on street parking depending on the length of your stay. Quite hilly in some areas so worth driving around for 5 minutes to find somewhere more suitable if needed.
Morrisons has a large car park limited to 3 hours.
We visited the Courthouse for an evening meal and would highly recommend this pub. It's just lovely!
Plenty of seating both inside and outside, with a view of the castle.
Food and drink was good and the staff were polite and friendly.
We also visited the Piccadilly for a game of pool. A quieter pub (Tuesday) but both locals and staff friendly.

The B&B was quietly located but within walking distance of restaurants in Caerphilly. There was also off road parking which is a bonus. Although fairly basic, it was clean and comfortable and there were thoughtful little touches, like bottled water. and plenty of tea, coffee and milk. I also appreciated a toothbrush holder in the bathroom, which many B&Bs don't have. The little touches do make a difference. Unfortunately I had to leave too early for breakfast so can't comment on that.
Great central location for walking in and around Caerphilly.
Spacious light house, well equipped kitchen and great outdoor space with BBQ facilities. David very helpful and responded quickly repairing a small issue with shower. Beds incredibly comfortable.
Large Morrisons behind the house (walking distance) perfect for stocking up on essentials.
Great few days bringing my elderly father back to reconnect with places and family from his childhood, thank you David 😊
Most about the Staff and Hotel apart from the overhead noise which stopped us from sleeping. There were no staff available at night and parts of the hotel were dangerous with regard to safety. The Hotel room was comfortable and adequate heating was provided considering freezing temperatures outside. The staff provided very nice food and were very pleasant. Excellent cook.
