Location was great. Front desk people were outstanding.
Ok chops on bar menu were delicious.
Love the room and amenities. I miss the peat smell throughout.
With its elevated position, Carnside Guest House offers panoramic views of Portrush and Donegal.

We had the large family room with its own entrance on the ground floor - park right outside, very handy. The proximity to Giants Causeway was excellent. Bear in mind, there’s quite a bit of walking once you get to the Causeway! You do not have to pay to do this - there’s no requirement to pay unless you go through the “Experience” building. Good tip from our hosts at Carnside, for less walking park at the Causeway Hotel - £10 cash. Keep the slip. Come back later and eat at the hotel and the £10 gets deducted from your meal bill! They do takeaway too, so if it’s not the right time to eat, get takeaway!
A boutique hostel on Northern Ireland’s north coast, Finn McCools Giants Causeway Hostel has beautiful panoramic views. Just 2 miles from Bushmills, free parking and free Wi-Fi.

Proximity to giant’s causeway, 5 min walk to the visitor’s center. view around the property was amazing (ocean, that beautiful house on the hill). Laundry services available.
Great staff.
Just 5 minutes away from Giant’s Causeway, this purpose built lodge provides the ideal base from which to explore the natural beauty of North Antrim’s coastline.

We visited Bushmills as part of an Irish road trip with the main purpose being to visit Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle, and Bushmills Distillery. We chose to stay in Bushmills as it was perfectly located for our plan.
We arrived in Bushmills in the late afternoon/early evening and after setting in, we did some grocery shopping at the Coop and Centra and then walked around the town. As it is/was the off season the village was quiet and some businesses where closed. We did not have any trouble finding places to eat or pubs to visit however.
There is much more to do and see in this area and I wish we were able to spend more time here.

Excellent location to visit the historical and scenic points on the Antrim Coast rd . Makes for a great driving holiday and a good place to stop on our way to Derry and Donegal. Stayed at the Causeway B&B which was exceptional and ate at the Bayview hotel in Portballintrae which was a short drive away and offered an excellent menu and good value for money. Would definitely recommend both.

Bushmills is a great location for those who want to visit the giants causeway, there is a bus that takes you there in minutes and you can explore without paying the large cost for car parking. Likewise it is a good spot for travelling to Portrush and Ballycastle by bus or car. EV drivers be warned though, charging points were limited around bushmills. We charged at Portrush.
If you want to eat in any of the holiday hotspots I would recommend booking in advance as the restaurants fill up quickly and people tend to eat early.

Bushmills is a pleasant small town but it has a few boarded-up shops, possibly because of Covid.
It has several cafes and pubs, all good and an excellent Visitor Centre. Also, public toilet and a good bus service along the Causeway Coast that ran to time.
Giant's Causeway is a couple of miles away, free to enter if you walk or arrive by bus but less busy early morning or evening. It is very popular with coach companies during daytime.
It is easy to reach Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, Portrush, Castle Rock and further to Derry and Belfast by bus and train.

Great location as a base for holiday.
Great location as a base for holiday. Plenty of amenities for those on holiday in the area. Being so close to the main attraction areas means little travel time needed. Nicholls has plenty of cafes. Good choice.
The room was completely quiet even though it was above a pub, and it was nice to pop in for a drink in the afternoon. We got free tea and coffee whenever we wanted, so could just drop in for tea to the bar. The place has a great atmosphere and the staff are very nice! Also extremely close to Bushmills distillery and nice bars and cafe's. The staff recommended us places to have dinner (dinner was delicious!), and places to see around the area, which was also very nice.
Beautiful room in beautiful surroundings with a friendly and attentive host. Perfectly placed to explore all the key sites along the northern Irish coastline! Would 100% recommend and if ever in Northern Ireland again, will definitely be staying here!
Always love a stay at the Causeway Hotel. Great deal which included breakfast. Morning walks along the Causeway. Great facilities on site & close by to many other attractions - walking or driving!
Staff very friendly and accommodating!
Lovely stay in our apartment overlooking the river....ideal for shops and walking distance to the Bushmills distillery for our tour and tasting! Great dealing with Tony who was able to answer all our questions.
The room was exactly what was needed. The bed was very comfy and the tv had access to lots of things. We were visiting the Bushmills Distillery and it was about a 5 minute walk which was very handy.
