We stayed in Room 4. It was a very big room with a super king bed which was fabulous. We slept very, very well. Our breakfast in the morning was gorgeous, great service and very good quality meat.

This is a classic Victorian railway hotel but the bedroom was modernised as well as being warm, clean and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Its attached public bar, The Junction, had very good food in the evening, and had the atmosphere of a local pub frequented by the locals. The Full English breakfast was great - all cooked perfectly. The hotel is just across the road from Carnforth train station, and is just over a mile from Junction 35 on the M6. The area has some very pretty countryside - good for walking, bird watching, and is near the sea. It's also only a few miles from Morecambe and 10 minutes on the train to Lancaster.

It's an interesting village with lots of history especially using a leaflet/guide purchased (50p) from the local Post Office/Village Store. As with many small villages it has lost the majority of its small businesses and there appears to be many houses unoccupied (second homes?) or semi-derelict. There are many interesting places and things to see without having to travel long distances so could be attractive as a base.

Nice village location just a few minutes off the M6. Large room at the back of the hotel with own entrance from the car park, quiet and comfortable. Parking plentiful. Staff for check-in and in the pub were friendly and helpful. Both the reasonably priced evening meal and the included breakfast were very good. Will definitely stay again
Staff very welcoming , room immaculate warm and comfortable. We had lunch in the hotel, food was delicious and hot English breakfast was served with plenty of tea and toast to make a great start to the day. Thank you Kings Arms Hotel for a most enjoyable stay.
