The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was acceptable, but they were about the only plus. We were so disappointed that we left after the first night, without being compensated for the next three nights.

Lovely little room! Clean and reasonably sized! Checked in late due to traffic coming from the Breamar Gathering, when I arrived the service from the kitchen had finished but I was luckily able to order something last minute. Thanks to the brilliant staff who helped me out! Breakfast was great, I had the full Scottish and it was more than enough! Would stay again.

amazing views across the Firth of Forth. beautiful village and amazing country side surrounding. the beach looked amazing though we did not get the weather to enjoy it but you can see the it is very safe as even at high tide the water is shallow a long way out. good restaurants and lovely village. We all loved it.

We booked this hotel for an event in Kirkcaldy.

We booked this hotel for an event in Kirkcaldy. It turned out to be further away than we hoped (15 minutes drive) consequently we had little time to look round Burntisland but it seemed to offer little for a visitor in January. Hotel was a bit out of Burntisland and we took a walk in one morning but unfortunately the railway blocked the view and did not allow for walking along the beach

We stayed 6 nights in Burntisland, by the 3rd day, we felt like it was "our town". Everyone was so friendly. Once we told anyone that this was our first time in Scotland, they seemed eager to answer our questions and suggest little things make our visit more enjoyable. There are no chain restaurants or businesses in Burntisland. That (and the cheerful people) is what makes it such a charming town. The Links Fish and Chips was The BEST

Nice coastal town on the Firth of Forth opposite Edinburgh.

Nice coastal town on the Firth of Forth opposite Edinburgh. As we have family in the town we visit regularly. In the summer the "shows" (a huge funfair just back from the coast) operate and are a major visitor attraction. Not many restaurants but a couple of the hotels serve meals to non-residents (but NOT the Burntisland House). Sits on the Fife Coastal Path.

The building is an old bank building, which has been converted to a hotel. If you like "old" then you will like this. Our room (No.3, ground floor) was large with high ceilings. The shower was very good. The bed was very comfy. This hotel has a cottage in the back yard that you can rent. From the outside the cottage looked quite nice. The location at the end of High Street is quite convenient. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Distance to the airport. Convenient for a stay over before you fly from Edinburgh.

The studio is perfect for a short stay, nice kitchen and bathroom and cosy living / bedroom. Parking our car was no problem. Shops are close by and the railway station around the corner. Easy access to Edinburgh, which is less then 40 minutes by train (bicycles allowed for free) or exploring the area to the North East of Burntisland.

Breakfast was excellent with a full menu options. Room was well appointed, comfortable and very clean. The restaurant, which is part of the hotel, offers a full menu and both of our meals were delicious. Burntisland is a lovely village offering many coffee shop, restaurant, and boutique options.
