Short Stay Bungay, hotel in Bungay

Set in Bungay, 400 metres from Bungay Castle and 23 km from Dunston Hall, Short Stay Bungay offers accommodation with free WiFi in a historic building.

Set in the beautiful town centre of Bungay, we were able to stroll along for breakfast pastries and coffee and enjoy the local pubs and restaurants in the evening (with the fantastic Fiano restaurant being underneath us!). The bay window overlooks the town so you can enjoy the peace and quiet in the comfortable lounge while watching the world go by. The bed was extremely comfortable & the shower was great too.

Waveney House Hotel, hotel in Bungay

On the beautiful River Waveney, The Waveney Hotel is set in historic Beccles, offering rooms with original touches and a riverside terrace. Guests can enjoy free parking and free Wi-Fi.

What a superb place. Location right on the river bank with the terrace overlooking the river itself allowing us to sit and enjoy the view whilst having a drink or meal is was simply idyllic. Menu in the restaurant was varied, freshly cooked and well presented and the breakfast of equally good quality ingredients. Service was also excellent. The room exceeded our expectations being spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a good view over the river. Due to the age of the building, some of the floors sloped slightly but this simply added to the fantastic character and charm of the place. Staff were all very friendly, extremely professional and seemed very knowledgeable about the hotel and its history, local attractions and even the local ales (which the bar also served) A most pleasurable stay and we will definitely return

It is a small historic town with an unspoilt centre with several fine houses as well as historic churches and a ruined castle. Our B&B host was able to recomend a restaurant with above average food.

Bungay is a lovely little town and has lots of character. One of the nicest delicatessens can be found in Bunday: Earsham Street Delicatessen. I picked up some great products there for Christmas and a few gifts for friends too.

My favourite places were the cafe attached to the castle, the fruit shop and florist across the road from The Castle Inn and the friendliness of the locals. We dined at The Fleece Restaurant. It was very easy to find our way around Bungay but we travelled far and wide during our short stay.

The hotel is well located, in a pretty town full of independent shops. Coast is reachable and beaches in this area are great, there are parks and nature reserves nearby. We walked around the town peering into shop windows and taking photographs of the brightly coloured houses.

The location was idealistic and met all of my needs. I needed somewhere close to Bungay and I wanted somewhere in a quiet spot so that I could relax and recuperate. The property was warm and comfortable, despite the bitter cold outside. Everything was arranged and organized for the benefit and comfort of the guest. I was very impressed from first arrival to the last day.
