Nice room with spacious en-suite toilet and shower with lovely hot water. Bed especially comfortable. Good location with nice grounds and outside spaces. Hotel was easy to find. Plenty of parking. Its close to the A38, but I didn't find the road noise too intrusive. Menu a little expensive but top quality food. Staff so polite and helpful.

Breakfast was delicious and Julia was very kind and helpful. Beautiful old building in a quiet side street but within walking distance of the town center. We had a spacious family room which worked well for us and our three young children. We really enjoyed our stay!

Our host Roger goes above & beyond for his guests. The little flat has everything we needed. Even supplying us rides from the train station on Arrival at 930 pm and departure by bus at 7am.
We had a couple requests. The heat was not warm enough for us and rodger turned it up immediately upon request. We had a problem with the key getting stuck and the lock was repaired.
The rooms were lovely. Fresh clean linen. A little wash machine was wonderful to use after we figured it out. Rodger has been hosting for many years. A true delight to have conversation with about totnes and surrounding area.
If I'm ever to go to totnes again would book the little elbow room again.
The location was walking distance for everything we needed. The natural food store right across the street. The hill going up and down the main street of shops. Totnes castle was a block away.
Excellent choice !
Excellent, super friendly staff. Lovely & quite. Great location. Good breakfast. Spotless in all areas. Very comfortable. Would have been nice if the lights in the room were a bit brighter & there was some control over the heating. It was just little on the cold side for us in November. We would definitely stay again though.

Whenever we pass through this area we stop at the abbey. It's beautiful architecture, amazing stained glass and has a good refectorary. The grounds are lovely to walk around and we particularly like the herb garden. We love the area around it and there are nearby craft galleries and beautiful countryside. So it was good to stay here overnight and have a bit more time.

Loved just about everything about Buckfastleigh and Bossell cottage from the helpful info provided by host to lovely outdoor setting in backyard, to fabulous food at the recommended pubs and restaurants, great local shop, heaps of attractions to visit.
Only one thing could be improved - lounge could do with a bit of tightening to make it a firmer seat.

We only had a flying visit so only visited the Abbey which is a lovely tranquil place to meander around. There's a little gift shop and monastic centre to learn about the st Benedictine monks, a few places to eat within the grounds and of course the beautiful Abbey and it's interesting history.

Gorgeous corner of hilly south Devon, with a Steam Railway, lovely walks, views, nature, and easy access to other interesting parts of Devon. We ate at my parents' flat in a nearby village - we always make supper for them (they are elderly). But the menu at Furzeleigh Mill looked delicious. When we next visit (and I am sure we will return) I will book a larger room, simply because our dog is huge.

Our stay was a very pleasant experience in this hotel, with friendly staff always willing to help. The restaurant served excellent food, although we only sampled one evening meal, and the breakfast options were varied and seemed to cater for most tastes - even the toaster was quick and efficient!
Being quite near to the Devon Expressway the hotel is easy to get to by car, but not sure about public transport. The availability of overnight car charging is a bonus, although there is a very good charging centre 2 minutes away.
The hotel is very clean and the rooms are well looked after and very comfortable.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to spend time in this area of Devon.

We stayed in a superior guest room which was very comfortable and spottlessly clean. The room was on the first floor and had a balcony and table and chairs and lovely views over the abbey grounds and the hill beyond. Excellent breakfasts were served in the hotel restaurant. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel, the hotel itself and most of the staff were good. My room was wonderful. For these reasons, I will go back. But, as you will read below, significant improvements need to be made in the way that this hotel is run. I would like at least a partial refund.
I had a great say in this hotel. The place and the terrace are absolutely lovely, all details in the room show the care with which it was designed, the food was excellent, and the owners and staff were very kind.
The Dartbridge Inn is a good looking property, with good sized bedrooms, bar and restaurant, close to the village of Buckfastleigh, and Abbey. Short step from M5 motorway.
Mill Cottage is a lovely place in the centre of Buckfastleigh. Comfortable and cosy. It was convenient for everything we needed to do whilst in the area.
