The staff were friendly, the room was nice and clean and a decent price for these days. The breakfast was nice. Walkable from the town centre and a decent size car park

It was a good character inn located in a quiet area. The room was a bit tired, but comfortable and spacious. There was lots to choose from the menu for dinner and the pub was full with local people The tasty breakfast was presented very stylishly.

The wardens were amazing, and the site was clean and peaceful. Someone had messed up, though, as the site should have been closed for the winter, and we shouldn't have been able to book it. But the guys looking after the site still took us in and made sure we had everything that we needed and were comfy.
We had the place to ourselves and it was wonderful.
Featuring garden views, Nature Cabins Hiigher Farm features accommodation with terrace, around 37 km from Longleat Safari Park.

So nice and clean there. The owner was lovely and was just a phonecall away. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! Not too far from Glastonbury too so we enjoyed our days there and the night in the cabin was amazing
Lovely town, a lot like Lewes if you know Lewes. Great shops. Hauser and Wirth gallery is superb, as is the adjoining garden by the Dutch garden designer whose name I cannot recall at the moment. His first name is Piet.
Driving here is difficult but there is free parking for 2 hours. It is rather hilly for walkers. The Sun Inn is a proper pub and we had excellent food at The Old Pharmacy.

Foodie heaven with top-end restaurants (Osip extraordinary) and great cafes. Also recommend cheese tasting at Godminster shop just past the church. Hauser & Worth a few k out of Bruton also amazing with a very high end farm shop and another great restaurant. Roth Bar there is stunning. Lovely grounds.

This is a truly wonderful part of the country.
This is a truly wonderful part of the country. Stunning countryside views and walks, the historic city of Wells, NT Stourhead, Alfred's Tower, The Haynes Museum and several other attractions within the area.
Primarily an agricultural area, but all very well managed, thus creating some stunning scenery. It is an ideal stop-over for those travelling to Devon and Cornwall, but warrants a longer stay to fully appreciate what it has to offer.

I didn't really visit the town of Bruton but it is very convenient for Stourhead National Trust. I highly recommend a visit to the Hauser & Wirth art gallery located in old farm buildings just outside Bruton, with a bar and grill, designer garden and farm shop and plenty of parking.

It’s a pretty village with lots of independent shops and high quality restaurants. We arrived during a heatwave so it seemed rather quiet and shut up so perhaps not quite the vibrant place we were expecting.

We loved Matts Kitchen, a cooling glass of wine at the Cellarhand, and of course the fabulous Hauser & Wirth, which currently has the Henry Moore exhibition, the gardens and The Roth looked amazing.
