We we greeted at the door by our host, and shown to our room, it was explained that the kitchen would like to know our breakfast choice the night before. This was so that it t was freshly prepared when we were ready for it. ie. it was not delivered to our table until we had finished eating the cereal.
The food was nicely presented, the eggs were done to perfection, still just runny!
There was information in the room giving names of local eateries where an evening meal could be purchased.
The location was close enough to be able to walk the harbour and town center.
The building had an interesting history with a nautical connection.
This establishment would be top of the list if a stop over in the locality was needed.

Lively, small, picturesque fishing town, surrounded by steep slopes and with colourful houses all around. Large, industrial fish market at one end of the harbour. Otherwise the town is very much oriented towards visitors. A single main shopping street with limited shopping options - though with plentiful cafes, pubs, gift shops, fish-and-chips restaurants. Good access for walking around the lovely Berry Head, but this is quite strenuous if on foot.

Superb location.
Superb location. We went in the Autumn so it wasn't too crowded. We have also had summer holidays there too and you are still able to get around and about.
A regular bus service with good evening running times takes you to larger towns if that's your thing.

Lovely fishing town.
Lovely fishing town. Would recommend it to fit people who are able to walk and explore. I would recommend it for all the reasons listed below. But, as people with poor mobility and unable to use our car, we only were able to enjoy the harbour view and tranquility.

I absolutely love Brixham! I am a huge fan!
I absolutely love Brixham! I am a huge fan! I think it is one of the most enjoyable and picturesque towns in all of Great Britain. I would gladly spend a month or two here every year. Great walks too had, throughout the town, along the waterfront and even a lovely walk out to nearby Berryhead, which is a major highlight on this beautiful area. There are also some good restaurants here, and a number of convenient grocery stores, including a great bakery and superb butcher and fishmongers offering up fresh seafood, locally caught. A superb destination…but book early, it’s a popular destination!

A 20min walk into Brixham, plenty of places to eat.
A 20min walk into Brixham, plenty of places to eat. I enjoyed the food at The Blue Anchor for Sunday roast staff were pleasant and helpful. The same for the Breakwater Bistro. Caught bus to Paignton, did some walking and went to the Harbour Lights, once again as the previous two already mentioned. I walked to the end of the Breakwater in plenty of fresh sea air. Walked back and continued to Berry Head. Back to Berry Head Hotel for a meal. A great week away. Brixham Holiday Park was just right for a Base. Shame there was no WiFi.

What can be said of Brixham?
What can be said of Brixham? Well, it is such a beautiful place that I have and will come back time and time again. It simply has so many pubs, restaurants and other food and drink outlets, you will be spoilt for choice. A vibrant pub scene if that is your thing or a quiet restaurant for the romantics, Brixham has it all. Brixham is one of the UK's biggest commercial fishing ports and you can what all the boats for hours, coming and going with their catch. (24/7) - If scenic walks are your thing then Brixham has more of those than you can count. A walk along the breakwater or Berry Head to the lighthouse or the other way along the coastal path there can be found many hidden coves and secluded beaches. Brixham is so dog friendly and you will meet 100s of them during your stay. Brixham: Visit once and you will never go anywhere else!

Apartment very clean, nice smelling, all beds very comfy, view from living space just great I love colouring little houses around. Size of apartment I like too. I was there with my husband and two kids.I little details of decorations on stairs way. Can't be better location walking distance to harbour, local shops, two beaches, top of cliffs with amazing view takes 30 minutes maybe. Owner very friendly, replays for all my questions instantly, amezing person, cleaning service worth every money. I had great time in Brixham
The character of this hotel is amazing it has so many interesting artifacts in it and things to look at. It's all decorated throughout so well. The stories and the history of this hotel are so interesting.
The location to brixham Harbour was brilliant a 5 minute drive and you are there.
There was plenty of parking and the breakfast was good.
The bar area was always busy with locals and guests alike. Plenty of outside seating as well.
The room and bed were very comfortable and we had a lovely coastal view out of the window towards Thatcher's Rock.
The staff were superb, friendly, professional, and welcoming. Staying at the Berry Head Hotel didn't feel like staying at a hotel, it felt like staying at a friends stately home.
