The location was beautiful. We gave our friends the rooms with the really spectacular views of the ocean and they absolutely loved it. We were a group of 10 and the staff was so incredibly nice. It was just a great experience.

The location was very convenient. We walked to restaurants and you can walk to distilleries as well. Breakfast was excellent and the adjacent pub was a nice place to stop. Sea view was very nice.

The property was well situated to be able to to easily tour the Isle of Islay. The Glenegedale House is set-up so that you can either socialize with other guests or maintain your privacy. Graeme and Emma are amazing hosts who look after all of your needs. On top of that the breakfast and the dinner served by them was by far the best food we have eaten in recent memory.
Within 15 minutes’ drive of 4 of the Isle of Islay’s whiskey distilleries, Skerrols House has uninterrupted countryside views and is just a 5-minute drive from the coastal village of Bridgend.
The Bridgend is well located on the island. The restaurant is good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was disappointing but the bed was comfortable and the shower hot. 3 days on Islay was a good time but could easily stay longer.

Bridgend expertly handles what must regularly be a full house for lodging, dinner, breakfast, and more. Its central location to the sites and destinations across Islay make it a great launching point from which to explore, but it was also nice to return at the end of the day to relax and recover.

The setting, the Staff and the room were very good.
The setting, the Staff and the room were very good.
The ambience lacked any atmosphere and was not inviting to us.
Something is needing done to attract local patronage.
This would be helpful in establishing rapport between locals and visitors and demonstrate how friendly Islay people are.
We loved our stay at Bridgend Hotel! The staff were so welcoming. It felt like a traditional Scottish hotel with tartan carpet and beautiful artwork. The room was spacious, the ensuite too. Great vegetarian breakfast with veggie haggis! It’s centrally located, within easy driving distance of the distilleries and beautiful scenery. The hotel arranged a taxi when we were both doing a tasting at Lagavulin. Islay is stunning, I can’t wait to return. I would highly recommend Bridgend Hotel!
Superb hotel, staff, location and food. The imposing Hotel building is at the head of a great loch and seascape. Jenny welcomes us and showed us around, terrific; She made sure personally that the room was ok for us (we moved to a different room, without the view). Top class dinner: who needs a great deal of choice when there is what you want? Breakfast was just excellent. We came to Islay not for the hotel - but next year we may return, just for the hotel and stay somewhat longer.
To start the location is off the beaten track which makes it exceptionally quiet, The host Thomas was first class absolutely nothing was to much trouble, I suppose the stay is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I think if you stay once you will want to go back. the Breakfast is as good if not better than a five star hotel, wonderful.
This is the rooms for the drivers of our 36 pax group. We didn't get the chance to stay in the property as our ferry was cancelled due to bad weather condition. We appreciated hotel staff called us in the very beginning when the news was released so that we have more time to adjust our itinerary.
