The hosts are super friendly and the breakfast is great!
Lovely quaint, stately, Scottish village. Low key and very pretty, beautifully maintained, with small selection of great shops and places to eat. Gloriously clean air. Beautiful walking routes available, with unmatched views of Scottish scenery. Glorious!

Braemar is in Royal Deeside.
Braemar is in Royal Deeside. It is a small, picturesque village loved by walkers and tourists alike. Rightly proud of its history and royal connections.. it has lots to offer. It is the gateway to the Cairngorms, quaint local gift shops and lovely restaurants and bars. You can choose then to take the scenic route over the hills to Perth via Glenshee ( take a tour of the local gin distillery at Persie ) or take the coast road via Ballater, Aboyne and Banchory to the city of Aberdeen. We certainly enjoyed our visit and plan to return next year.

Clean, friendly with plenty of eateries and pubs.
Best food and pub for me was Moorfield House Hotel. A little tucked away but worth the effort.
Loads of walking from local strolls to mammoth Munro hikes.
The countryside and wildlife is fantastic.
Decent sized rooms with space to move about and store luggage.
Very well kept hostel where the staff were on top of cleaning the toilets and shower rooms.
Plenty of space in the kitchen, including roomy fridges and easy to find crockery and cutlery.
Had everything our group needed for our two night stay.
Fabulous hotel in a beautiful setting ….
If you want a traditional Scottish Interior this is the place ….
Staff were very friendly and accommodating …
Food was outstanding … the chef’s attention to detail is on point !!
Good location and well-appointed, perfect for a family or group of friends. We stopped over for a night while cycling to John o Groats and were able to store the bikes in the cabin overnight
