Lovely stay! Such a lovely room and the bathroom was the cleanest I've ever seen in a hotel! The location is perfect and we had both the breakfast and dinner and the food was stunning! The best was so comfortable and quiet even though it's right in the action. An added bonus was that there is plenty of storage with large window sills in both the bedroom and the bathroom. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying again.

The communication with the owner is prompt and clear. The owner let us check in early since the apartment is available and we arrived too early after getting off cruise ship. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The location can't be beat. It's right in the middle of the town on the side street. It's close to everything in the town. A very good experience.

Property exceeded expectations. Beautifully furnished, spacious and very clean. Excellent location within easy walk of the village centre and a nature reserve across the road was perfect for a dog walk. The lovely little garden was a bonus. Excellent value for money. Caroline left clear instructions and was on hand if we had needed anything, however, the accommodation felt very private. Would stay again without hesitation.

Bourton on the water is at beautiful village where there were a number of tourist shops and supermarkets nearby. After touring nearby villages I was pleased that I stayed at Bourton-on-the-Water. We enjoyed the Motor Museum.

The most beautiful quaint village with wonderful scenery, lots of great places to eat and drink and fantastic quirky and quaint shops. Chester House Hotel is a first class hotel in a superb location and the Mousetrap pub is highly recommended for a meal. Avoid the fish and chip shop it was terrible.

So many eateries, pubs, cafes.
So many eateries, pubs, cafes. Lots of walks to nearby villages, and a bus to catch back if too much time spent in pub. It was one of the prettiest places I’ve been to. My friends also thought it was fantastic. We live quite near Derbyshire attractions which are George ours and bourton on the water is on par. We studied where to stay for months and we definitely picked the best. We visited in Novemeber and it was definately wasn’t quiet and I can imagine the summer or peak periods being extremely busy.

Beautiful stone buildings around the river passing through the centre. Lovely countryside and some spectacular villages to visit. Found two good waking routes, the Oxford Way and the Heart of England bridleway. Enjoyed one cycle ride though off the beaten track an electric bike would be good unless fit to tackle the hills. Easy travelling by car to the other iconic Cotswold villages.
Many places for coffee and eating out in Bourton and an exceptional visit can be enjoyed at the artisan Bakery on the Water by the motor museum and river Windrush.

The location is beautiful.
The location is beautiful. The Cotswold stone houses are picturesque. There are attractions easily walkable from the centre of the village. The Dragonfly maze was fun with its clues. The Bird Park was well worth a visit. The Motor museum was packed with items. You could spend hours looking and still not see everything.
The Model Village is in need of serious renovations so wouldn't recommend.
We booked three days but did all the attractions in the village on one day. It took us several hours to look in all the shops on the afternoon we arrived, some touristy with souvenirs but lots of other shops with hand made and upmarket merchandise for example the Sheepskin shop.
We did a tour of the local area driving through lanes with the beautiful autumn colours on the second day.
A beautiful location well worth a visit.

Loved the feel of the property compared to a more traditional hotel - the atmosphere suited the cotswolds vibes in a way you wouldn't be able to replicate if it was a large business.
Location was faultless, and had excellent access/parking arrangements.
The toiletries/facilities were very thoughtful, and we really appreciated this.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful too.
Beautiful room.
Great location and was everything we expected and were looking for in a hotel. Located in middle of Cotswolds allowed us to drive around area and sock up the green fields and little villages for lunch etc.
The location of the hotel is excellent, within walking distance to all the attractions of Bourton on the water. The staff were great and the choice of breakfast and the quality was exceptional.
