The locals queried our visit but we loved the history, community support, food & places of interest. Favourite English pub food at Goodbarns Yard, coffee at Seventh Heaven, breakfast & lunch at Churches Restaurant. Favourites sites include RSPB Frampton Marsh, Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (definitely do a run in Just Jane), Fydell House & neighbouring museum, St Botolph's Church in time to climb the stairs & Maud Foster Mill only one Wednesday & Saturday. Big mention to the team at Mr Tyres for their speedy tyre repair from a nail & Oasis Hairdressers when you’ve need some TLC.

Market town with lots of different shops and a weekend market. Very quiet. Well connected by train. Even rail-replacement service worked well. Boston (UK) Marathon takes place there and it’s a nice route if the weather is good. Favourite restaurant Taan Thai.

Boston has gained a bad reputation, partly because of bad spins in the press and partly because of some negative locals. I grew up there and it isn't significantly worse that it was in preceding decades. Like all small (and not so small) towns it has been hit by the problems with high street shopping trade, but it remains a pretty historic town with some good attractions and the surrounding landscape is unique in this country - not the typical go-to destination countryside, but definitely worth a look if you haven't been before. Prepare to be surprised and ask the locals to reveal the area's hidden gems.

The Arundell is well placed for exploring Boston, situated adjacent to St Botolph's Church and the Market Square. The entrance and stairways are lavishly decorated, while our room was generously sized, well presented and spotlessly clean. The bed was most comfortable. The provision of a continental breakfast each day was much appreciated as our expectation when booking was solely for the room. The staff were friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. We would definitely stay again if revisiting the area.

Location was perfect near the main Boston Church where I was involved in rehearsals and a concert with the Boston Sinfonia. The room and the outside corridors were agreeably warm. Good that the suggested car park was nearby and there was good signage from the car park to the hotel. Car park charges good for 24 hours. Pleased that there was a fridge and microwave provided but see below!

Really great spacious house - we loved the 3 bathrooms and comfortable beds. We were attending a rowing competition in Boston and this house was great practical solution- we could cook our own food, sleep well and not was only 9-15 mins drive to the rowing club depending on traffic. It was super clean with hotel style bedding and towels. Parking was easy and we could take our dog.
