We stayed here as we had a very early ferry to France from Portsmouth the following morning and needed somewhere reasonably close to the port, which this place is. We arrived on a busy Friday evening and the restaurant was full and the atmosphere convivial and buzzy. We decided to have a bite to eat before we went up to the room and the food was very good. The room we stayed in was a double and very nicely decorated with the radio on and the lamps on a low setting, with a lovely welcome tray of macaroons, nougat and chocolates, which was a nice touch.

We loved everything and can’t wait to return. The location is stunning and it’s wonderful watching the scenery change with the tide. Steph is a fantastic host and the ark was beautifully designed and equipped.

We stayed one night as we had tickets for the Chichester theatre and chose The Crab & Lobster as it looked conveniently situated. We were not disappointed. Was exceptionally quiet after the restaurant/pub revellers had left. We stayed in The Cottage attached to the main building . Beautifully decorated, clean, well appointed. The history of the pub and surrounding area is fascinating. We ate in Chichester so cannot comment on the restaurant but breakfast was outstanding.
Loved it and will visit again. Next time for a couple of nights!
