The proprietors were extremely warm and helpful and the property was clean and the room had everything I needed.
The breakfast was really good and the chat with the proprietor was an added bonus.
The place felt like being at home and a departure from the usual nondescript hotels that I am used to!

Bolton has some fantastic green areas around the town just outside the centre. lots of beautiful walks and country parks. definitely did not expect the wider beauty of the back roads and hills at the foot of Bolton. Friendly people and lots of lovely cultural buildings and sights. close access also to Manchester and the lovely centre of Bury and bury market

I am from Bolton, but live overseas.
I am from Bolton, but live overseas. Love the town hall area, but the shops I used to know are not there anymore. Sad to say many major shops gone.
Queen's Park is a lovely place to feed the birds and the squirrels at the pond area. Bought wild bird food from Poundland.
Barrow Bridge and Moss Bank Park also very pleasant to walk through on a sunny day.
The museum is a pleasant and interesting place with a souvenir shop too. Why they had to move the library out of the same building is a mystery to me. Buses usually on time and available during the week and Saturdays.
Good self service laundrettes available which proved helpful when running out of clothes.
