It was very difficult to locate, but this was, I suspect, due to the extensive road works and developments in the area.
Never having been to the area before, it took me twice as long to locate from the NEC as was expected.

Really near NEC and really easy to get there without needing a taxi. Really handy for the railway station if you are going into Birmingham. The beds were really comfy. Didn't like that there wasn't a second bin in the bedroom.

The breakfast is overpriced. One price only so it you want just toast and cereal you pay the same as if you want everything.
The lighting in the room is not well thought out. The lights by the bed are not independent of each other so if your partner wants to sleep and you want to read all the light go out!!

Staff, the room was pretty good for the price, car park, electric car charger (50kw BP)
Should point out that they have charging facilities more clearly. It is one charger with 3 cables.
But the staff are the best thing about this hotel.
Hotel is well suited for the NEC and the airport.
They now serve a limited evening meal at pub prices, but I found the meal tasted good.
And there is a pub 1 minute walk away.

As I have stayed at this hotel several times a couple of years ago and therefore knew what to expect, I was positively surprised to see if and what has changed since the last time I stayed. It is still great value for money and I would and will definitely still recommend it to everyone who needs a stay around the NEC/Birmingham airport. One thing that has changed and even massively improved is the breakfast selection. I loved the options and the presentation of the food years ago, but by now it's on a whole different level. I loved it!
Accommodation was excellent, clean comfortable great shower with bath, food was excellent and well priced. Staff were friendly and helpful, this hotel is the better one than others at NEC resort and cheaper in lot of the stays offered. Highly recommend place to stay if u in NEC Birmingham as only 10mins away by taxi or 20min walk thro the resort.
Spa was an added bonus very relaxing. Plus u get free Parking as guest. We will be booking again when we return for next convention.
The hotel i situated close to the airport. The monorail brings you in 5 min to Birmingham international for free. The breakfast was tasty. The renovation og the hotel and rooms is noticeable. The room was comfortable, cosy and clean (with ironing board and fine hairdryer). The concierge (white-haired man) was EXTREMELY KIND!!! As well the cleaning mail staff on 5th floor was very supporive.
Lovely location not your usual generic hotel, very clean , very helpful staff also great knowledge of the local area, bed was so comfortable, just minutes away from the airport, when we fly from Birmingham Airport we will 100% return.
Comfortable room, excellent shower and very clean. Really close to Birmingham airport. The Ibis Hotel is much better then Ibis Budget. Make sure you book the right one.
