The hotel staff were delightful. The hotel is located right next to the ruined priory on Holy Island and our room had a spectacular view eastwards towards Lindisfarne Castle. We saw some wonderful sunrises. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. Room furnishings adequate.

Berwick is an undiscovered gem! There is loads to see and do, both in the town and beyond, especially on foot. Derek Sharman's guided local history tour is recommended, as is the self-guided Lowry Trail. Plenty of restaurants, pubs and cafes. Honestly can't understand why this place isn't more of a tourist hot-spot!

I do not have a car but in Berwick on Tweed there are trains and plenty of buses for you stay to get you to beautiful coastal villages such as Coldingham and St Abbs. There are a choice of splendid eating places, such as Coulls fish and chip restaurant and the very popular Turkish restaurant in Bridge Street. There is a lovely walk alongside the peaceful riverside , ending in the picturesque castle vale gardens near the famous viaduct with its view of the remains of the stone wall protecting Berwick of old!

berwick is a border town, the most northerly, I don't drive but a car is useful if you have one, but regular train services and if you download the borders buses app on your phone, a good starting point for trips to Kelso, Galashiels and Eyemouth amongst others. I visited the barracks museum and good walking as well as good restaurants in the area as well. Lots of local independent shops and no need to take toilteries as several shops sell at good price

A quiet place with bags of history, some fine buildings not just military. The Military museum is certainly worth a visit as it also contains the town's museum. The battlements are worth the walk around as is heading out to the lighthouse. Some very good pubs. Very friendly place. Easy bus ride down to Holy Island.

We chose the hotel for its central location and we were pleasantly surprised by the welcome at reception along with the explanation of hotel dining for dinner and breakfast. Bedroom was very large, comfortable with copious tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. An ironing board and iron along with hair dryer were provided in the room. Bathroom was modern, very clean and well-appointed with bathmat, towels, soap and shampoo. Will certainly use the Kings Arms again on future visits to Berwick upon Tweed.
YHA atmospheric historic area Berwick just couple minutes walk bridge across Tweed and less than ten minutes Berwick train station. Leaning shell old building has been retained with strikingly modern inside. Good size room clean enough with basic amenities and attractive view across roofs of old town excellent wet room shower with separate toilet & basin.
Clean well equipped top floor kitchen and pleasant dining room. Ground floor cafe lovely place for coffee & food with helpful staff.
The hotel is lovely and the rooms furnished beautifully. There's a little lounge downstairs with free snacks and hot drinks. Not far from Berwick centre or the ramparts walk. Great communication from Craig throughout the stay.
Lovely hotel with very friendly owners who were happy to help in any way possible. We were just passing through, but the hotel is well situated for a visit of Berwick upon Tweed itself
