Stayed at the hotel after a long day on the Pennine Way. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful. I had thought I’d booked a single room and was pleasantly surprised to have a good sized double room with a bath, luxury! The room was clean, warm and well equipped.
I had my evening meal at the hotel and the quality and quantity was very good with a good choice. Breakfast was excellent again with a good selection to choose from.

Dinner menu was modestly priced , as it should be the food was only modest. We do not eat cooked breakfast and I can only say the continental option was aweful.
This hotel is seems mainly to be used by groups of hikers whom I assume get special rates. It also seems to be aiming to be a wedding venue, cricket club and an outdoor beer garden. Certainly not a upmarket hotel.
It is however in a stunning location.

This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure.
This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure. I sometimes travel through on my way to work in Kielder and around Northumberland so have never got to experience the town proper. Some great places to eat including the Fountain Cottage and Happy Valley and cute local shops such as Olive and Myrtle and Natural Northumberland. Recently our friends opened their brewery at the old ambulance station, F&L (First & Last) which also has a tap room opened 09.12.2022 - this addition to the town and previous positive visits will ensure my return for both work and leisure

Lovely little village.
Lovely little village.
A few good places to eat out, even for coeliacs.
Co-op grocery store and some very nice little gift shops.
Visitor centre was very interesting.
Great location for visiting Kielder Observatory, Kielder Water, Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman Forts, Hadrian's Wall and Hexham - 30 mins from them all by car.
Everyone I met in the village and surrounding area was very helpful and friendly too.
We stayed in one of the guest rooms overnight on the way back from a holiday in Scotland. The room was spotlessly clean, roomy and comfortable. In a perfect location, peaceful and quiet, but only a short distance from the village of Bellingham with pub, supermarket etc. We dined at the Riverdale Hall Hotel on recommendation of the lady at reception and had a super meal in lovely surroundings at a reasonable price. Would like to stay again and thinking of booking one of the lodges for a longer stay.
Wonderful location. Bellingham is a nice little village, and the Kielder water area is fantastic for gravel cycling. Great views and endless gravel routes. The Cheviot is a great place to go for dinner. The house is spacious, downstairs toilet and bathroom upstairs with toilet, shower and bath. The kitchen has plenty of space and a nice induction hob.
Excellent house. Very spacious, clean and well equipped. Perfect central location. We've stopped in Bellingham numerous times and this is one of the best.
Great support and communication from Maxine 👍
Breakfast was very nice, staff was lovely, in fact everyone we encountered in Bellingham was very friendly. I loved the fact that dogs are permitted entry to just about anywhere.
