Its OK and very quiet- couple of good eating houses and a village shop for essentials. Well located for North and South explorations. Only 5 minutes from Seahouses where more activity/facilities and trips to Farne Islands based.

The area has beautiful beaches and coastal walks and the beach at Beadnell is dog friendly.
The local fish van is worth a visit. It's very popular.
Getting around Beadnell itself is easy and there is a bus service which travels to most major towns.
Beadnell is very near Bamburgh with its castle and many restaurants, and of course Grace Darling memorials in the church and RNLI museum. It is also close to Seahouses, another interesting coastal town.
Alnwick, Amble and Morpeth are not too far away and worth a visit. As is Berwick-upon-Tweed.
The Holy island of Lindisfarne is worth a visit, as is a boat trip to the Farne Islands.

Beadnell beach is fantastic for walking to Low Newton.
Beadnell beach is fantastic for walking to Low Newton. At low tide it is still quite a challenge but worth it.
Three places to eat and a fish & chip van, Thurs, Fri and Sat, we have only used The Craster Arms for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. Good portions and certainly value for money. Seahouses is great for a variety of meals, Indian, Chinese, pizza and of course, fish and chips.
Short journey to access Bambrough and Lindisfarne.
Love Beadnell as we visit a couple of times a year.

Have been to Beadnell a few times now and never tire of the beauty and tranquillity of the location and surrounding areas. There are such a lot of places to visit with extensive history of the areas. Bambrough Castle is the place to visit amazing views from the castle. Worth the entrance fee 17 GBP. Lots of parking 5 GBP for the day. Not to forget Sea Houses a beautiful port where there are boat trips visiting the Farne Islands say hello to the seals and extensive bird colonies and if your lucky you might spot the occasional Dolphin. Then onto Holy Island with such a lot of History a good day out.

It is so peaceful.
It is so peaceful. The beach is wonderful, very quiet, majority of people are dog walkers, canoeing or doing other water sports , few more families on the weekend. There is a village pub, two places to have coffee and a very friendly village shop. A fish and chip van comes at the end of the week and looked very popular. You can walk to Seahouses where there are more restaurants and little shops, plus a large Co Op. From Beadnell you have good access to other interesting places and beautiful beaches. Bamburgh Castle was great, drive up towards the Castle as parking cheaper up there. Visit Alnwick and go to Barter Books a second hand book shop in an old railway station, you could spend all day there and they do the best scones I have ever tasted. Holy Island well worth waiting to cross, unfortunately we were too late for entry into the castle, try cross in the morning.Almouth Beach well worth a visit as is Craster but unless you have National Trust cards just walk to the Castle. Definitely visit Beadnell and its surrounding area. The fish and chip shop in Seahouses on the high street do extremely wonderful large portions you won’t need extra chips and Indian Brasserie in Seahouses well worth a visit and not too expensive. As you can probably tell we had a great time just not long enough.

Ideal location in the heart of beadnell, ticked the boxes for us we wanted a quiet relaxing weekend. Very quiet at night, parking outside ample for 2 cars. Hotel directly behind us serving excellent Sunday dinners and craster arms literally a 10m away. We took 2 dogs with us and was ideal, as back garden is paved and enclosed so they could go out and play in safety without the thought of bringing dirt back in the house
Very quiet, comfortable bed. Kept warm, when room was up to ambient temperature. Comfortable furnishings. Parking immediately outside property. Close to centre of village, two excellent cafe on site, , two pub/restaurants, hotel and a bistro in very close proximity..Well stocked complimentary tray.
The hotel next door served tasty, well presented food (we ate there Christmas Eve). Cocktail hour was between 3-4pm which we enjoyed. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The village offered other eating venues. We didn’t try all of them. Location good to visit other areas close by.
Excellent hotel. Beer garden with live music was a bonus. Breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly. Room very comfortable. Restaurant food delicious
