We like the authentic feel of staying in the Bothy. We felt that we learned a little of what it might have been like to live on the isle a century ago. It was interesting to learn about Jackie’s family history as it related to the Croft and the island. It was also interesting to see Jackie’s loom and to learn about weaving for Harris Tweed.

Restaurant really nice design and the food was very good. Very accommodating staff, great location, easy parking, nice atmosphere. Nice shower gel product. Very good housekeeping. Lovely grounds and easy access to walking through the castle grounds.

On arrival we were met by the very friendly and helpful General Manager. After a long day travelling, during which we did no know if we would arrive, Christina welcomed us, showed us around, explained policies etc, let us know about local restaurants and said we could call her if we had any issues.
The Castle was fantastic. A really amazing place to stay. Also, it was only about 25mins from Calanais Stones.
Been to cottage a few times now. We have been to other in the area and up in Ness but we prefer the location here. Is quiet and has all the things you need and none of the things you dont! This time we could not come due to death in family. Laura was very understanding, had not expected to get any money back. Will book again for next year.
