Three ladies in their seventies so only downside was the pedestrian only access was rather steep. Fortunately we realized this and took wheeled cases. The view over the tree tops to the sea was consequentially amazing!

A great place & a wonderful location, if you have the weather, as I did. Been many times in the past 43+ years but maybe this was only my 2nd time in October & was surprised & pleased to see, that it was still fairly busy.

Beautiful small town.
Beautiful small town. Right slap bang in the middle of a lot of heritage places to visit. If you have a car, it's about an hour from Snowdon, Tywyn and Porthmadog. Lovely shops and pretty cheap, all things considered. My go-to "Holiday on a budget" place.

Lovely Seaside town with decent pubs and great views around.
Lovely Seaside town with decent pubs and great views around. Lots of trails to follow from easy to hard.
It's a good place to use a base for exploring the local mountain ranges like the 'Wild Rhinogs' or the coastline up towards Harlich.
The old wooden Rail bridge also has a footpath to stroll across the estuary...if your feeling lazy wait for the train to come back ;-)

Largely unchanged coastal fishing town over the past 40 years or so. Great mix of accommodation available in the town or the outskirts whether holiday rental lets, guest houses , hotels and caravan and lodge lets in the nearby villages. The town is full of character and is an ideal location for a family holiday. There are several attractions worthy of visiting and to suit all tastes within a 20 - 30 mile radius of the town and there is a train service to the town for those who don't possess or wish to use a car.

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The check in was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was served quickly and without fuss. The hotel was in a central location and would be ideal for people travelling by train, but parking was available nearby, too. We would definitely book again. We didn't have the opportunity to try an evening meal as there was a function on the night we stayed, but Barmouth has a few other places where you can eat, so it was not a problem.
The Hotel is stunning it has an interesting history.
The views were breathtaking.
It’s a perfect place to stay and visit all the other nearby places like Harlech Castle, Port Merion to name just a few.
The food amazing,
Mike was a wonderful host.
will definitely go back 👍
A lovely hotel with outstanding views of Barmouth Beach. A remarkably well stocked 'honesty' bar, very dog friendly (so we will return ASAP with our Spaniel). Excellent bathroom and a very large comfortable bed. Amazing breakfast choice.
Very enjoyable stay. Basic but clean hotel walking distance to Barmouth where there were nice bars and shops. Opposite the beautiful beach. Food good, staff were lovely. Would go back. The whole of Barmouth is very dog friendly as well.
Beautiful hotel in a stunning location.
Chris and Zelanie gave us a lovely warm welcome.
The room was excellent.
Would recommend this as one of the best places to stay in Barmouth.
