It's a very nice property converted to a very high standard, with a lovely garden and surrounded by green spaces. Excellent parking including EV charges (untested) and great utility room for washing sports kit. Lovely size rooms all tastefully decorated. A really lovely place to spend time with family.

Had a spacious room facing the prominade on the second floor. Great views and great space. Lots of storage in the room. Room was warm and very well serviced. Enjoyed the tea/coffee station which was replenished each day. Room had a sofa and seating area. 'En suite' Bathroom was modern and very spacious. Hotel food was good - aimed at the bus groups that used the hotel. Breakfast was buffet style with all kinds of options for every kind of diet. Breakfast hot food from the kitchen is worth exploring. Dining room staff were helpful and kind. Desk staff were very helpful and well-informed. There is a small lift for those who wish to avoid the various stairs and it was well used and centrally located. Hotel stay was excellent value in a great location. Within easy reach of the local Douglas tourist highlights. Highly recommended.

The little village of Ballabeg is in a very pretty setting.
The little village of Ballabeg is in a very pretty setting. It does get very dark at night so carry a torch. The location was a short walk to the steam train station. You can catch the train from here and go to Douglas etc. Check the timetable as you need to stop the train.
We ate at the pub in the next village, which was great food with a Sunday Carvery, there was also a small shop next door. We only had about 4 days touring the whole island, which for us was about right.
The village is mainly residential so take lots of supplies with you or from the local shop. We had our van and cycles with us, to get out and about. The IOM is a wonderful, quiet island and will definitely return.
