Breakfast was very mediocre, standard thick processed bread for toast, everything on the buffet was luke warm, really not great quality for the price. Coffee awful and had to ask multiple times for a cup. For the price of rooms which is not exactly cheap or prices in the bar, quality of food serving needs to be better.
The Renishaw Rooms is located between Renishaw and Barlborough close to the M1 Junction 30 and 8.1 mi from the center of Sheffield. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant.

Barely a mile off the M1 (J30). Ideal for breaking a long journey. Quiet location in the countryside. Laid-back relaxed atmosphere. Newly renovated to a very high standard. Clean, well-planned rooms. Large fluffy white towels! Budget price.

The room was very comfortable n warm with a lovely view of some beautiful trees. I took advantage of the en-suite bath, just what I needed to relax n unwind after a stressful journey. The food is delicious. A very generous portion of fish n chips with all the trimmings. It was great to get a vegetarian breakfast option, which was delicious n very filling. I arrived very late for a wedding which was cancelled n postponed. However, the staff made my stay very pleasant n enjoyable.

The entrance / bar and lounge areas were attractive
Downside- room on the ground floor with car parking used by contractors right outside and within earshot of very noisy 5am services vehicles ( n 102)
A magnifying shaving/ make up mirror in the bathroom would be useful

20 minutes into Sheffield there is public transport nearby I believe a bus every half hour not much to do in Aston itself restaurant popular at weekend but are places around to eat

A beautiful property, luxurious bedroom and bathroom (I think I was upgraded). Lovely, helpful staff, thanks also to those behind the scenes who made up my room. A quiet, spread out dining area with tasty food. Breakfast included. A romantic retreat if ever I saw one and tasteful Christmas decorations lending themselves to the general ambiance. I'd definately visit again if I was in the area :)

Aston Hall Hotel is very close to the motor way so if you are travelling by car it is easy to go to Meadowhall Shopping Centre which is approximately is 30 minutes away or Crystal peaks shopping Centre, 20 minutes away. Sheffield City Centre for shopping or to see a show at one of its theatre's is 30 minutes away by car. Rother Valley Country park is only 15 minutes away. If you don't want to eat at the Hotel there are plenty of pubs/ restaurants in the local area.

The hall and staff were exceptional. Felt spoilt to be there in lovely surroundings with beautiful decor and so clean and well maintained. I can’t wait to stay again. Breakfast was also lovely, so well presented and then hot breakfast cooked to order. So impressed. Kirtstie reception manager was fantastic. Spoke to us at length as we loved the building. Printed history of it for us and gave us a tour of poinent historical areas. First class enthusiastic member of staff. Thank you.
