The keys were conveniently left in a lockbox for self-check-in, and we meet the friendly hosts, busy preparing to feed the ponies. A nice surprise was getting our picture taken with the ponies— a lovely bonus. Thank you Zac!
The location was beautiful and peaceful, with a charming rural feel but still just a short drive from Sandwich. The property was very comfortable, offering all modern comforts and more, including a TV in the bedroom and an air fryer in the fully equipped kitchen. Everything was clean and cosy, and there was some milk, coffee, and tea. We also appreciated the great Wi-Fi and TV. The host kindly informed us we could check in earlier if we wanted, which was very thoughtful. Highly recommended— we would absolutely stay again!

Everything! Especially considering the amount paid. On entering, the magnificent marine fish tank ( with identification chart) set expectations high of the care taken. Christmas decorations were tastefully arranged. Staff welcoming and we were allowed early entry to our room. Room spacious and clean. Lovely view over the lake. Pleased that windows could be fully opened, to take a photo. Room was warm. Appreciated large mirror over the dressing table and a full length mirror. Two good size mirrors in the bathroom. Adequate sockets. Good lighting, bedside and ceiling, including hall area by the bathroom not illuminating whole room.

Breakfast, choice available - we had full English, no mushrooms but rest made to order and well presented. Choice of cereals, toast, condiments, fruit salad and yogurt available for self service. Also excellent coffee and orange juice, cold water. Apple juice also an option.
Good bar menu for the evening meal. (We didn’t eat lunch. ) Sensibly priced.
Good location by the lake and country park. Map available. Thoughtful.

location was perfect for race track and golf course. Restaurant had limited offer due to covid and no seating with 5 pound charge delivery to door so we did not use. Parking was 10 a day so expensive. 2 lamps did not work in the room. No bath only shower. Room was clean.

This hotel was great for an overnight stay to get away from home and relax with friends. After reading other reviews we wasn't looking forward to it but just goes to show that there is no review like your own review. The spa is a little dated but nothing major. Apart from that one negative which isn't really a problem we had a great weekend. I would just like to add also that the staff working during our stay where friendly and always more than happy to help with any questions. Thank you for a great weekend!!
Room was comfortable and clean and spacious.
Bathroom had modern, attractive decor and was clean. It also had good quality liquid soap and shampoo.
There were power sockets and USB charging points.
The health club is really good: big range of equipment in the gym, nice pool and treatment rooms for massaged etc. good towels provided for hotel guests too.
A great base to explore Canterbury and the coast by car. Quiet and clean and comfortable, the house has everything that’s needed for self-catering - full kitchen, washing machine, large bathroom, and separate sitting room.
This hotel is a wonderful place. Great food and cocktails. Great for a relaxing getaway. The staff were ALL so attentive and friendly. We had a wonderful time and will absolutely be returning.
