Broadford Hotel, hotel in Broadford

Overlooking Broadford Bay, this luxury 4-star hotel is situated in the village of Broadford on the Isle of Skye.

I loved that when the room states bathroom and the room actually does have a bath. Due to Storm Eowyn I was stranded on Skye an extra night and was given a nice discount to stay another day and night.

Duisdale House Hotel, hotel in Isleornsay

Duisdale House Hotel is a luxury, award winning, family run boutique hotel on Skye’s southern Sleat Peninsular.

The property was beautifully presented and our cabin was very cosy with lovely decor. The staff were a delight. Welcoming, friendly and the service was outstanding. Special thanks go to Clara who gave us amazing service and the chef who prepared the most delicious meals and was so accommodating to our food allergies and requirements. The whole stay was a highlight of our trip around the UK.

Dunollie Hotel ‘A Bespoke Hotel’, hotel in Broadford

The Dunollie Hotel has views across the sea to Loch Kishorn and the Applecross Hills. There is complimentary WiFi available in the lounge.

The hotel needed an update, the room was very small and the price was extortionate.

Breakish Escape B&B-near Broadford, hotel in Breakish

Boasting sea views, Breakish Escape B&B-near Broadford is situated in Breakish, 26 km from Museum of the Isles.

Breakish escape was a lovely place to stay. We are a couple doing a road trip in Scotland and we were looking for a place to stay while visiting Skye. The access is a small road, a bit damaged but nothing our small SUV couldn't handle, and consequentially the location is very calm and relaxing. When we arrived the host gave us a warm and friendly welcome. The room and bathroom were clean. In the morning we woke up to a delicious breakfast buffet, with a full Scottish breakfast option.

Peaceful area, definitely need own transport. Ferry just a 10 minute walk / 2 min drive which is excellent for early ferry times. Scenery is amazing and less busy than other areas. About a 15 minute drive to Broadford with a good range of facilities.

Great place for an overnight stay, as we were catching the Ferry to Mallaig the next day. We had to leave to catch the ferry before breakfast started, but they let us make toast and take some fruit for the road and even gave us some freshly baked goods. The restaurant was amazing, we had the most delicious dinner. Very quiet room.

Ardvasar is cute and I could have stayed much longer. If you have a car it’s easy to get around all of Skye. Cafe 1925 in Ardvasar is perfect! There’s lots of sheep, beautiful ocean views, lots of cute little birds and friendly folks!

Beautiful scenery, ideal for walks- sound of Sleat, Tarskavhaig. Pier and shops nearby- fabulous pottery. A trip to the Castle and grounds also worthwhile. The Inn at Ardvasar due to reopen at end of April for food and drink. Petrol station and food store within easy reach.

The Inn was fantastic, the staff and service was excellent and so was the food. They were happy to answer any questions and were particularly helpful with one particular issue we had. Would definitely return

Rather quiet but there is a nice Hotel/restaurant/pub and a good local shop. There are some amazing walks round the Armadale Estate and also in the gardens. Within a few miles there are several excellent hotel restaurants and the amazing new Torabhaig distillery.
