I’ve never been to a hotel who catered so much to dogs and people alike. We were all made to feel very welcome in this lovely hotel!
A charming small town with local amenities. Salisbury about half an hours drive away and they have a market every Saturday.
Stonehenge a short distance away and the lesser monument of Woodhenge. Beautiful countryside and very tranquil. The locals very welcoming and warm-hearted

It’s basically a small village which has been massively over developed with housing estates and distribution centres, this resulted in a lot of lorries and heavy traffic running through. Close to Stonehenge but Salisbury would be a much better option for accommodation.

Would really help to remind those not familiar with sharing accommodation with others that just because they have had a good sleep doesn’t mean you can make as much noise as possible and disturb others’ sleeping

We had family in Amesbury to visit so perfect for us and still handy to Salisbury and bus to London. My brother liked the pubs and the bakery was very good. You would need a car to explore surrounding area though and there was plenty to see

Access to Stonehenge was so quick and easy.
Access to Stonehenge was so quick and easy. We could have spent another day exploring the area (other ancient forts and circles) and trying other places to eat in the town. There were 3 grocery stores - a great place to replenish your supplies. The bakery in town is first rate!!

Absolutely disappointing!!!!
Absolutely disappointing!!!! room a sham of broken furniture, stained seating chair, curtain rail that fell on you drawing curtains.... too much limescale on shower taps. Shower curtain dirty, skirting boards never been touched for months and NO CHEF!!!!!! after a 6 hr journey all we wanted was to freshen up and have a meal (as advertised) seemingly they've had no chef for over a year.... MISS ADVERTISEMENT! ...it wouldn't have mattered if alternative room was offered, sooooooooo disappointed, we just wanted to go home !

The hotel was nice, clean and at the best location. 10 mins drive to Stonehenge. The hotel staff was courteous and super helpful. There were good restaurants and take-away places near to the hotel. The in-house restaurant had good ambience and breakfast was tasty with lots of options to choose from.
