We arrived and had a drink and lunch. The food and service was excellent. The morning we left we had breakfast and again excellent service and lovely freshly cooked food. We needed a cab to go out for a trip and the hotel called and arranged the cab. The Merlin is in a great spot, only a 10 minute walk into Alderly Edge where there are lots of restaurants and bars. If you didn't want to go into the town centre, The Merlin gets busy and has a nice atmosphere and good restaurant.

This newly refurbished 4-star Manchester Airport hotel is superbly located within the airport complex, and within 20 minutes’ drive of Manchester city centre.

The cost of the stay was cheaper than other hotels. We liked the fact the rooms included water, tea, coffee, biscuits etc, which other hotels have cut back on.
The Cross Keys is a family-run 18th-century coaching inn, situated at the heart of the pretty market town of Knutsford. There is free Wi-Fi and free private parking.

Walking distance from airport, much easier than needing to take shuttle or taxi. Nice, clean hotel with spacious rooms and friendly staff.
The whole area is good. It is safe. There are plenty of shops, cafés and other places to eat. Lovely countryside close by an easy to get into the city for more things to do. There are several stately homes and National Trust properties close by.

Fascinating people/vehicle watching from the excellent vantage point of the De Trafford Arms beer garden with a pint, so many ridiculously expensive/excessive cars posing around repeatedly burning unnecessary fuel. How the other half who are clearly far too rich to care about the planet live?!
Flip side…great charity shops! 😂

Staff were excellent in the bar/restaurant area, the bar/...
Staff were excellent in the bar/restaurant area, the bar/restaurant area was trimmed nicely for the Christmas period and does have a very welcoming and warm feel to it. Drinks are a bit pricy though.
The Location - Great location for bars, restaurants and the retail facilities in Alderley Edge and Wilmslow Town.
The room - Decorated to a modern style but there were some damage to painted areas which just need a touch up. The main let down was we found someone else's boxer shorts in the bin in the en-suite, toe nail clipping on the floor in the en-suite and the door to the en-suite very noisy. These are simple things that should not be seen by the 'next guest' in to a room that should be cleaned properly between guests staying.
However, we would stay again as I'd expect the owners to act on these issues if they read these reviews.

Alderley Edge is a very affluent part of cheshire known as part of the golden triangle or Wilmsow, Alderley Edge and Prestbury. Lots of footballers and famous people live here so can be seen in and around the local bars and restaurants. If you like car spotting come here as Lambo's and Ferraris are ten a penny along with every Chelsea tractor known to man. Lovely people and a great laid back vibe and must visit as well as a walk up to Edge with stunning views over the Cheshire downs.

Alderley Edge is a great place to stay for the weekend.
Alderley Edge is a great place to stay for the weekend. Cafes and restaurants are good and close to each other. It is also good base if you want to walk around the local countryside and if you want to go further afield there is a station nearby that stops at other towns and Manchester.
This place is a little gem hidden away just of London Road in Alderley edge. It's a stones throw away from bars, restaurants and coffee shops so plenty to do. Parking is available too which where it is located is amazing really as property and space is at a premium. Great location.
Location, staff superb, restaurant fantastic
Breakfast included in room rate was super. Having spent 2 nights in Alderley Edge with awful food and service this was so nice to find … will definitely recommend
