The location was ideal and the parking pass to a nearby carpark made it a lot more convenient than first anticipated.
The photos don't do the quality of finish and decor justice! Beautifully furnished and decorated. Lovely white and fresh bed linen and spotlessly clean. I felt comfortable with my kids and dogs and the stair gate at the bottom of the stairs made it so easy with the dogs and their sandy paws!
Set in the picturesque Welsh resort of Aberdyfi, this charming inn is set on Dovey Estuary, which forms part of the Welsh coastline and Snowdonia National Park.

Nice town with just a few shops to browse and a number of places to eat, drink and relax. The beach is wonderful and goes on for miles so no overcrowding and can be very calming and peaceful. Lovely vistas.

I love this town - it’s small, and amazingly clean. I went most the weekend not wearing shoes (except in the restaurant!) I didn’t encounter any dog mess or litter - yet I never saw anyone tidying the streets. People just seem to respect their surroundings!
The locals especially staff in pubs are so so friendly and you speak to so many random people!
The beach is huge and sandy, with lovely dunes at the top and clear sea to play in.
There is never any trouble in this town, me and my partner sat outside at a table until 3.30am talking and it was so quiet…I would be quite happy walking home from bars alone at that time of morning!

Would suggest booking beforehand for any evening meal - 'The Dovey Inn' gets very busy (we went in the school holidays) and it is essential for you to reserve your table - 'The Seabreeze' restaurant is exceptional but ditto.
Great area for walking and as a base for other things as it is also well served by the train - could easily visit Barmouth or Harlech or the Ffestiniog Light railway (or the nudist beach at Morfa Dyffryn!).
Don't forget the Osprey Centre at Ynys-hir!

We wanted to visit Aberdyfi because my husband went to the Outward Bound centre 64 years ago and had been in touch. We were invited to revisit and he was given all the paperwork relating to him. He had excelled! That was the main reason for our visit but he recalled it being a lovely place and it certainly is. Font Haul where we stayed was excellent.

The circular walk (around 4.5miles) is well sign posted & provides superb views of the Aberdyfi estuary from on high - not easy as it’s a steep climb in places but well worth it for the views !!!!

Aberdyfi is beautiful on a summers day even though it gets really busy. On a wet miserable winters day 2 weeks from Christmas looked like a ghost town, with a few cafes open and pubs but no shops after 4pm. Beach is lovely, however we only went for a brief walk as weather great . Sad it didn't look festive is this down to council cutbacks you have to ask yourself?!
Room spotlessly clean and recently redecorated. En-suite bathroom was immaculate (again recently redecorated) and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was fresh every morning with local ingredients utilised and very well presented. Location of the guest house was ideal for the nearby restaurants and hostelries which were a minute walk away and the Aberdyfi train station is also nearby. The proprietors Colin and Pippa were very nice and accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A beautiful location. The property overlooks Aberdyfi golf course and sand dunes, leading to the sea. The views of the sea and sky were constantly changing as the weather changed, very atmospheric. Great for artists and photographers.
The mature gardens and lawns around the house were very well maintained and must look stunning in spring and summer.
Perhaps another holiday one day when we could enjoy the outside facilities?
The modern design of the room was lovely. The room itself and the ensuite were really well kept with great addiions to the room suchas tea and coffee making, great shower, lovely towels provided, smart tv and electric blinds for a little more privacy. Massive plus points though were the shower which was amazing, parking provided especally in Aberdyfi and the fact you have wifi in wales!!
We went for a short break (three nights). The staff were friendly and the hotel was easy to find with available parking. I have to say this was out of season so it was pretty quiet in the village which probably helped!
Our room was comfortable and spacious and the en-suite bathroom was fine.
I got sick and lost my voice on my last few days, i had to spend a day I had planned to be out doing things stuck in the hotel and the staff was so nice in accomodating for me especially with how I couldn’t talk. Everyone was lovely and so kind and the place was great.
