How fast the shuttle got us to Lufthansa at 5:30am
If we had known about all the problems, three days I received a reminder of our reservation with nothing about how miserable our short stay would be and we would have cancelled our stay.
We were told that the pool would be closed until April or may but we don't swim!
Breakfast was fine and quick for but was $17 dollars ea.

We enjoyed staying at two Holiday Inn Expresses to stay...
We enjoyed staying at two Holiday Inn Expresses to stay close to the airport and one staying close to the St. Charles Train Station in Marseille. They were both well operated, and good for business and travelers. The St. Charles location could easily be a good location to get around Marseille.
I am afraid I do not recommend the town which has trash issues. We did not find this anywhere else in France. The rail station had minimal seating, lots of trash all over the place and on the train lines. If you have to travel through Marseille, stay at the Holiday Inn Express

A great location for us and nice and clean.
A great location for us and nice and clean. We were disappointed to be placed in a handicapped room as neither of us is handicapped and we do not need that kind of facility, nor were we asked if we would like to stay in one. We find the "wet room" vs regular shower not to our liking which is our main negative. Plus, we would not want to deny any one who actually needed that facility which we were in and did not need.
On the other hand, the breakfast area was open before 6 am which allowed us to have a quick breakfast before our shuttle was to pick us up for an early flight. The shuttle was on time and very helpful. All in all, good value but do need to work on room allocation satisfaction!!!

Convenient and comfortable place to stay close to Marseilles airport. Our room was clean and comfortable. Both the pool and the breakfast were excellent!
The hotel shuttle bus was very efficient and picked us up from the airport and returned us promptly and pleasantly!

When you need an evening and a night o ly, the experience has to be immediate, there is not another dinner, another breafast, thrrefore you expect from a 4 stars hotel to deliver the best in tetms of commodities, good and service. This was not the case with us at least.

Our stay was on return from holiday before flying back home. The stop-over was excellent so chilled and relaxing, we ate at hotel buffet which was excellent with great choices evening and breakfast and good value. Our trip was short and unable to visit many places in area, but Hotel had numerous books and information on the area and Marseille.

The check in service was quick and the hotel honoured my 11am check in time which was really good of them. The one bedroom suite was big enough to accommodate 2 adults and 1 child very comfortably and the fridge with complimentary water was a bonus.
The hotel offered a complimentary airport shuttle, which we used - 5mins from getting into the shuttle to arriving at the airport.
It looks bland and dull on the outside but inside it is a very smart hotel. Good size swimming pool. The restaurant was nice. A small menu, but good quality food. Fitness room was small but clean and with new equipment. Bedroom was smallish but we slept well.
Lovely colourful place with comfortable beds. Strong wifi, clean spaces, bar open till midnight. Personal shuttle from the airport for free. Swimming pool is small but a luxury for airport hotels. Breakfast from 4am! Lovely staff!
There are two Holiday Inn Express hotels that are across the street from each other. One is more modern and one is less modern. The more modern one is nicer, but both are quite comfortable and a good value.
